Hi there.

The Cape Radio, an online, player-run radio station dedicated to the Virtue server, is holding an event on the 27th of September called: ROBOTICA.

Event thread

During the event, we'd like to be able to point our listeners to various in-theme mission arcs that they could play.

So, if you have any recommendations, please post 'em here.

Thanks.

Well... not to shamelessly pimp my own arcs, but... eh, screw it, I'll do it

"How to Survive a Robot Uprising", #12669, by @Wall of Knight

Should fit the bill rather nicely, as it is stuffed to the gills with very nearly every robotic enemy in the game, along with some customs just for some added robotic fun. Fair warning, though, it's a fairly long arc.

MA Arcs: #12285, "Small Fears", #106553, "Trollbane", #12669, "How to Survive a Robot Uprising"

Check out "Power Play" (#187269).

It was published i14 and I haven't yet updated it for i15 as I've been working on another project, but it definitely fits your requested theme.

In this villainous arc uniquely told from the first-person perspective, you are pulled into the middle of a rivalry between two mad scientists. In a divergence from the normal CoX-style, you assert your independence, shrug off your contact's instructions, and hatch a plan of your own in which you, ultimately, play the pivotal role that leads to the genesis of the evil counterpart and arch-nemesis of the heroic android HAL X-34, first introduced in the Dev's Choice tale "The Once and Future King."

End Game - Final Move (17006)

The main protagonist has an army of robotic minions that you will have to face over the four mission arc. Some are old favorites ranging from purchased Malta titans to Zenith Warcries purchased from the Black Market. Newer models of robotic minions fill out the roster and include the use of Assault Robots as boss encounters, mostly for flavor.

Robots specifically? I've had an AI based idea kicking around in my head for a while, hadn't really thought about it much but this might be a good excuse to see if I can work under a deadline.

I'm in the same both as Chesire. I've had an technological arc idea in mind (Yes it includes robots ) that I could possibly whip up for this.

That'd be fine. Robots, synthetics, cyborgs, AIs... it all fits. It'd be great to have one of your arcs on the list!

I have 2 arcs in mind (one heroic, one villainous), but it'll be a feat if I manage to finish just one before the deadline, let alone both of them.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to make the deadline either, I'm just saying I could give it a shot if you like.

Another one to check would be Batteries Included. It was in the Dev's Choice list.

"The Terrible Plan of Doktor Kanoenfutter", Arc #280412, tells the story of the titular Doktor's conceptually unsound robot invasion of Paragon City. Solo-friendly, and in case this wasn't already obvious, it's a Mega Man parody.

I have to second that recommendation for "Batteries Included." Not only does it fit the theme, it also has lively missions wrapped in a great storyline. Very enjoyable arc.

Both of my arcs, Redoubt Operations #1: Fires over Kalago and Redoubt Operations #2: Wrath of the Imperium are all about robots. Check out the Arc series' webpage for more information.

Now I suddenly find myself pushed to get Redoubt Operations #3 finished to complete the current storyline in time for this event.

I ended up getting an idea pretty quickly and wrote the whole arc in a day, so here's my arc for the event:

Ignition of the Machine
Arc ID # 318983

Bear in mind that like, one person besides me has run it so far, so if anyone wants to give it a whirl early, I could use some tester feedback.

Try "Cyborgasmic!"

It's full of robots. I don't know the arc #.

What a great looking event! I'm all about the robots.

Try ArcID 15127, "A Spanner In The Works Part One."

Technology in Paragon City is going haywire, everything from kitchen appliances to heart-rate monitors are on the blink. Can you discover the cause?

Thanks again for the Arcs, all! Remember, Robotica is this sunday! The Arcs that made the grade will be posted on the Cape Radio forum ( http://www.thecaperadio.com/forum ) before the event for our beloved Capelings to run through at their convenience.

Looking foward to seeing you at ROBOTICA!

Also, I'll point out to those who've posted here: this may be a good opportunity for you to host a run through your own arc.

If you're on Virtue, come on down to the D during the event and let us know that you're looking for a team to run your arc (or that you're looking to join such a team).

You could also post in our forum to let people know you'll be around for a run.

We'll link to the Robotica MA thread on our forums when it's up (should be posted tonight or tomorrow). That would be a great place to start organizing something.
