Hoi chummers!
DJ Cybrid here, on behalf of the good people who keep me in nanite fuel at the Cape Radio. We've got a mini-event coming up for those people who are up way too damn late.
Paragon at Midnight
We're having a goth/darkwave/steampunk event at 2am EST Saturday Jan 16th (that's after Posthaste's show late friday night, in case there's any confusion) in...well..where else do you have an event like that? The Midnight Club! Join Posthaste and myself for some tunes to stalk the night by, and feel free to show up in goth or steampunk costume! RP is encouraged but not mandatory. It runs until 4am EST, but these things have a way of running late.
We'll be doing a bit of a costume contest (goth and steampunk themed, of course), and some trivia as well.
Bring out your suitably themed characters, bust out your witches for the witching hour, peruse the stacks with your mages, synch your clockwork automatons, run up the engines on your zeppelins, and ask the vampires how they would like their stake this evening..
Its time the nightwatch went on duty...

WE'RE LIVE ALL WEEKEND! Yep, we've already kicked things off with DJ Enigma. DJ Pheonyx is up next. And from now until monday morning, there will be a live DJ at ALL TIMES!
Now we aren't saying who is going to be on at a particular time. Some DJs will be on during their usual times. Others will pop up at random.

Back from my walk on the clouds. Let's get straight into it:
-Coming Up This Weekend-
Saturday, September 5th, 8PM Eastern... its time to dust off your costume skills, as The Cape Radio is presenting our own "Back to Old School " event, hosted by DJ Angel. Yes, we're harkening back to a time heroes were heroes, villains were villains and sidekicks were...well, cannon fodder.
This goes from 8pm to midnight, eastern time...and there will be costume contests (come as your favourite comic book hero, villain, sidekick, etc), trivia, and a rather unique "Marvel vs DC" PvP event, amongst other things. This will take place in the pocket D. Be there. You'll be able to find me easily enough. There's only so many heroes I can adapt to fit as a walking metal tank.

September 12th, 8pm: American Legion Celebration, help them celebrate being the top dogs of the SG pack.
September 27th, 6pm - ROBOTICA - Welcome to the machine! Its gonna be all Robots, all the time! DJ Enigma and DJ Vangelus will be hosting. Well, I'll be hosting as well, but please don't hold that against us. Check our forums for details, and get in on an early contest or two.

Sure, it may look quiet on the Cape Radio front this week, but we are studying /next/ weekend with a practiced eye. The rare northern Double XP Weekend is a canny foe...and we must know how to best to strike! We lurk, in wait....and when it happens, we shall overcome it with DJs a-plenty, all weekend long!

It looks like One Hit Wonder will be doing a /5/ hour show coming up on Wednesday, July 29th at 7pm Eastern. All jokes about her stamina and staying power should be directed at her.

We have other events coming up. Shecky and Attercap are hosting the Big Beach Blanket Bonanza Blowout on August 9th! And on August 15th, it looks like Detra and One Hit Wonder are bringing Cruefest to those who can't make it.

Events from July 10th to 17th, 2009
Saturday, July 11th, 8pm to midnight EDT - Ballroom Blitz
Not one but TWO supergroups are setting up for this one, and we've been asked to provide the music a bit of a retro show: The dance sensations that swept the nation!
And with two supergroups, it seems only fitting to get two of our talented DJs in on the game to support it: DJ Pheonyx and DJ Shecky will be broadcasting from the Freedom Corps building in Galaxy City.

Stick around for the Justice Girls Birthday Bash next weekend, and DJ Cozmic is going to be infecting your sanity coming up next weekend as well. $Deity help us all.

The Cape Radio is happy to announce yet more top-level talent has joined our team! Not one... not two... but /three/ new DJs added to the lineup! A big welcome to DJ Jester, DJ Castor, and The Sultry Siren!
DJ Jester is going to be nailing down Friday nights from 6pm to 9 pm EDT with 'The Jester Semester'. The man knows himself some rock. He starts tonight!
DJ Castor will be picking things up on Saturdays starting July 18th, from 2-5pm EDT! This canuck will be providing a melange of pretty much every genre he can think of.
And of course, The Sultry Siren. She of the Late Night Radio Voice will be giving you the very best reasons to stay awake Thursday mornings, from 1 am to 3 am EDT.

Hi all, DJ Cybrid here for The Cape Radio. It had been mentioned by some of our listeners that we should be getting the word out more about some of the events we're hosting, and other Cape information. I got the nod to make sure the official Virtue forum (potentially amongst others) got updated.
We've started up a twitter account for those who like to use such things. We'll be posting Cape Radio events and information there as well as a source of quick reminders.

On to the events for July 3rd through 10th (all times are Eastern time zone)
Friday July 3rd (tonight) - The Eternals 5th anniversary party.
DJ Angel will be spinning for this one, running from 9pm to midnight. This will be taking place in the Eternals base, come out and help celebrate one of the longest running SGs in Paragon!
Saturday July 4th - 8pm to 2am Red, Rave and Blue
A Cape Radio event with DJ Angel and Agent Crypto! Yes folks, two DJs for the price of one. DJ Angel will be in Atlas Park for the 4th, and Crypto will handling the redside in Grandville, hopefully without being eaten by spiders.

Later this month, look for The Ballroom Blitz with Hero Dawn and Avant Garde, and DJ Cozmic is planning his "Couch Potato Crop" show as well, $deity help us all.
