 OTOH, in my experience, very few people seem to keep their character's original costume. So few, that I've wondered if people just don't care about the "signature look" thing. I personally try to find a signature costume for my characters and many others do too, no doubt. The issue is kind of water under the bridge now that people have posted character bios with names visible etc. And my offer to accept hatemail still stands.  |

Is it legal in this thread to post my own? (Only because I think they may be considered interesting...Hopefully they aren't considered bad bios.)
Anyway, I often just go for amusing short blurbs in the bio box (often something that tells a bit about their personality), instead of blabbing a bunch of stuff that would normally be discovered through RP.
Some examples:
Feisty Fawn...
(Think people might be able to tell that she is a robot?)
Major Morris Tormanin - aka Never-Moore
(Yeah, this middle-aged bloke likes Starship Troopers...the Movie.)
Never-Moore's daughter, Rachel - aka Twilight Dream
Never-Moore's brother, Fox - aka Pyrefox
(Okay, he does reveal his origin, unlike the others. Got three others that have more extensive write-ups as well. Only showing one of them after this, since I am still not 100% pleased with the other two yet...)
Kilderon, the Snowbeast.
(Bio should be "heard" in an excited, yet earnest rambling tone.)
Very creative bios, Willowpaw.
I'm especially impressed how you were able create a good first impression of the characters with very condensed text.
It's an ability I wish I had.

As for the others, I wonder if kids or teens wrote some of them, due to the spelling and grammar. Mrs Weed made me laugh, it's actually original. And the tran- Troll is awesome. If she showed up at a CC I was running, she would probably get an honourable mention at least.

Though I did read a bio once that was actually well written and very interesting but had a glaring typo, so while complimenting the player for their imaginative ideas I tagged on the end "oh and you may want to correct..." and mentioned the typo. Woah boy, you wouldn't believe the stream of vehemence I got back - was hard to believe the person who wrote the bio was the same person raging at me. Some people just really hate being corrected I guess.
A couple more of my own, in the process of interconnecting all of them... I have the name on every server except Freedom, and actually play about 5 of them... I know I have problems.
By the way, these are intended to be good bios. Interesting doesn't automatically mean horribly bad. Compliment them, make fun of them, or ignore them.
