How do you Damage farm?

I'm not new to the game but unfortunately I took a long time to really get into IO's and accolades and such I need a 10 million damage badge you villains know it as Unbreakable and would like to know how to damage farm as this would take much to long to just accumulate normally.

In a mission <so you don't afk out> you find a mob that cannot beat your resting regen rate but does a good amount of damage, you then rest in front of it and walk away.

I think the Damage Guide points out "Or you could team with a total idiot." My wife was commenting on her lack of that damage badge - on a fire brute, where she survives by healing herself and has been collecting the Ouro badges and doing all the Ouro missions- and I invited her to help me duo Positron as an AV. Got her 1% of the 10 million badge, right there right then.

I'm such a good husband.

Mini-guides: Force Field Defenders, Blasters, Market Self-Defense, Frankenslotting.

So you think you're a hero, huh.
@Boltcutter in game.

I generally use a Circle of Thorns Guide (and perhaps another minion) while in Rest to get these. With a Heal slotted in Rest and another in Health (or a self-heal/Regen from other sources) you can generally AFK a while and get this done fairly quickly.

Questions about the game, either side? /t @Neuronia or @Neuronium, with your queries!

I have 3 accounts for me its easy however before I had 2 accounts even I was able to damage farm it was slower but worked

1. get a paper mish se to villainous

2. find a reasonable mob or minion for your toon to be able to survive (sometimes patience and trial and error here).

3. go into rest, make sure your toon can survive the damage inflicted while in rest if so just leave it, may have to leave it for a couple nights.

alternatively if you have a friend with a thermal or whatever the equiv hero

you can use a similar method especially if your toon is a 3 lvl's or more minor theirs use their mish have your friend lk you up then have your friend set cauterize to auto heal you but have them stay as far back as they can not to draw agro away from you then go into rest and damage farming is a lot faster can get the 10 mill badge in 1 night and 1 day usually.

hope this was helpful

Stay away from Invader if you haven't gotten that Accolade yet. Sure it's tempting to go ahead and get since it's probably the easiest of the vill accolades. However, now that I've gone for Unbreakable on a character, I'm going to avoid Invader until I finish Unbreakable on all my future villains, since the +5% HP doesn't count for damage.

When I just did this for my Crab, I made a 2nd build, trained it up to lvl 15, triple slotting Health and Rest. Since it's a Crab, I get an automatic respec at 24, so this wasn't a waste for him. I used an even con Carny strongman who would whack me for about 800 dmg per hit.

I hate this badge so much. "Hey you're awesome, so you can't get this reward". My NW, who grinded (ground?) her way from 1-50 mostly solo still has < 1M damage.

Global = Hedgefund (or some derivation thereof)

Just in case this isn't obvious, take a long a few Lucks so you can get enough defense such that you can enter Rest without being interrupted.

For my only experience getting Unbreakable, I grabbed a CoT newspaper mish and rested in front of a Guide and an Ice Thorn overnight.

EDIT: forgot to mention that on my Shields brute I used a second build that avoided True Grit (an auto +HP power). Due to the funky way the damage badges work, they only count damage against your base HP. So any +HP accolades, powers, or set bonuses actually work against you.

When I did this on my willpower brute, I ran a CoT mission, found a mob with a Behemoth Lt in it, killed all the minions then taunted the Behemoth to come at me. popped 3 lucks, slipped into rest, made sure the Behemoth was beating on me, then started making jokes about how my brute had become a masochist. Then later I went out to the movies.

Unless you are a Stalker or Scrapper, a single Heal SO in Rest will cap your regen. A Stalker/Scrapper would need to make up 473% regen after the single slotted Rest to reach the cap, and the easiest way to do that (unless you're /Regen) is to just put a second enhancement in Rest.

There's also a way to do it in the arena.

If you're talking about gladiators, that's a heal farm, not a damage farm.

I'm not, it involves abusing the one shot code.

Do you mean that I am walking around all proud because I'm near Adamant (17,000 hp to go) and IT MEANS NOTHING?! I feel like such the dork. Am I really too naive to even conceive of anything so diabolical - and simple - as damage farming? Yep. (*Hangs head in shame*)

If it's any comfort, I don't think this method is intuitively obvious at all. It's something that is commonplace only because of the absurd accolade requirements.
