Is there any reason to pick MA for duels in arena? Or is it underpowered and not worth it? Anyway tips or tricks to make it better?

PvP Redux is discontinued, for obvious reasons. Thanks to everyone who helped and joined.

I'd be interested in a MA/Regen build too, mostly because I'm neither used to MA or used to PvP. I usually just blunder in with a PvE build but this MA/Regen is being made for PvP only.

A couple good reasons actually
1. you can drop offesnsive toggles cause MA is the only set that has reliable stuns for scrappers
2. It's got some heavy hitters
3. As always it's style

Yeah I'm levelling an MA Stalker myself, is Cobra Strike a must-have? Right now going with AS, EC, Axe Kick, the 'long' kick, Stealth Pool yada yada.

Actually, it's pre-I12 but I think there's a video on Youtube of vince on a MA/SR in RV owning people, was pretty epic.

Questions about the game, either side? /t @Neuronia or @Neuronium, with your queries!
168760: A Death in the Gish. 3 missions, 1-14. Easy to solo.

MA has a higher crit rate on its higher-tier attacks (then again, a lot of the Scrapper primaries do). It's also got a reliable toggle-dropping attack, but other than that the animations take too long and are mostly lol. I don't think I've ever seen a serious PvPer using an MA Scrapper because BS and Fire are just better.

However, some of the recent changes have taken into account animation time in regards to adjusting damage. Sure, Eagle's Claw has a relatively long animation time, but that could adjust its damage higher. That's the reason Flurry is now decent damage-dealing pool power in PvP.

Yep, but long animations will still get you killed in a zone situation where Stalkers are likely very near to you just waiting for you to start a long-animating attack (for example, a Blaster using Total Focus is like a bleeding person sticking their leg into shark-infested water).

Watching Gun bust up fight clubbers in the arena in i12 on his ma/fire was the good stuff.
