Hi guys!

City of Heroes comics and artwork
LOL. You won't let that go will ya?
Oh come on, I can't do a regular piece of art once in a while? Everything I do must be all glorious in its cheese-cakey goodness? Mmmm cheesecake...Damnit, now I want cheesecake! I've been sick for goign on 3 weeks. I have someone's birthday present to finish (pencils, inks, and colors, and then mail it off the them) by September. I'm freaking out a bit. And that's just a simple freaking commission. I still have to do all the backgrounds on Hercules. So ya know, if I ever catch up with my deadlines, then maybe I will just have to do that. :P |
C'mon, get on Ms. Marvel (although saying that the current artist is really good, so... whenever is fine with me).
Hercules eh?
I know a good Hercules story if their writers need more ideas.

Don't say I'm out of touch with this rampant chaos your reality
Evilly Yours, Fey Bot/Trap MM
ROFLMAO.
Oh Bejesus Grey Knight. That thing is so flipping old. XD
That is ONE thing I DO NOT miss about being on the net all the time, is people showing me old *** artwork hahahahaha.
And...while I <3 me my Marvel...to be honest, one thing I have learned about myself is that I am anti-costume. That sounds ridiculous, I know...but I think where I will find my creative niche is going to be outside of the costumes. I will still pay my dues of course and I would never turn down proper work, but...I'm saying for my personal creative enjoyment

((One word -- Vertigo. You know, as soon as I see your name on something, I'm going to buy it, even if it has *shudder* Dark Reign on the masthead. Sersly. ))
....Hey. I -like- the Dark Reign stuff.

or like your supergirl with just bikini bottom?
as Ood Sigma said....We will sing to you, Doctor. The universe will sing you to your sleep. This song is ending. But the story never ends.
NO not all of my characters would run around nekkid. :P
However, I like "functional" outfits. I don't mind so much, Iron Man, for example, because his outfit serves a real function. Witchblade - her "outfit" serves a function (of not only being sexy!). While I like the "superhero" and "drama" of conventional comics and the like, the costumes are annoying and cheese-cake to me.

Xanatos's head wings are aero-dynamic. That's a function. They help combat the villainy of WIND RESISTANCE!
So...no more super girl bikini bottom girls? *pout*

Sorah, Sorah, Sorah, Sorah, Sorah. We need to have a serious talk. A very serious talk.

Okay let's take Marvel vs. DC. Generally speaking, I will take Marvel over DC (unless it's Batman, just because...it's flipping Batman). Why? Cause Marvel is less...cheesy to me.
It's a taste thing. Some people like it, some people don't! I don't like cheese on that level.
Do I enjoy cheesecakey pin ups? Oh hell yes. I draw that for **** sake! LOL! Bethany Cabe in a naughty santa outfit? You know it! Supergirl with seethrough panties? Hells yes!
Superman yelling, "FOR JUSTICE! HAVE AT THEE!" or something to that degree (which I know he doesn't do, people, I'm saying this for effect), I don't like. Leave me outta it haha.

Et tu Heroid? Dark Avengers and Dark Reign Ms. Marvel are seriously great books. Shame on you, sir. Shame. On. You.

((I quit buying Marvel U. books when Civil War started. Why? I thought it was stoopid. I like my escapist fare to be escapist. I didn't like seeing the Marvel U. dismantled in yet another superhero deconstructionist plotline. That's been done to death (and never better than in Watchmen, so they should quit trying and move on to something else). I read Exiles because Jeff Parker writes it and he's a super-guy, and it's also not tied in with umteen other books every month. I'm back onboard for Ultimate Spider-man (over the past decade, the best superhero book that the Big Two put out) even after the Ultimatum ********.
Overall, I like DC because the universe there is a little less paranoid and closed-in than Marvel. It's bigger and more expansive. And they've figured out how to do a big cross-over without ruining every book in the line (see the above remark about Civil War and Ultimatum). Though, Darkest Night isn't making me the happiest camper at the comic book store.
In summary, I prefer DC simply because Marvel gives me the impression that they are ashamed to be putting out "superhero" comic books -- ashamed of the costumes and the ludicrously powered characters. And yes, it is a matter of taste. Make yours Marvel, I have no problem with that. For the moment, I'll take DC.
And Invincible and Perhapanauts. ))

I'd highly recommend the 만화 series that starts with The Color of Earth (You may find it translated as 황토빛이야기). You can tell that it's written by a guy, and the writing is a bit, well, let's just say he hammers you with the metaphors.
On the other hand, the story's cute, and the art is magnificent.
