Servers down early Tuesday?

Avatea's announcement said the servers would be coming down for a patch at 10:00 am EDT. It's only 8:30 am EDT, and at least half of the servers are down -- did something else go wrong, or did operations jump the gun on the patch?

Might be fixing an exploit or something.

Maybe its a patch for I16.

If it is (or it's to fix some of the 'bugs' that popped up during the double xp weekend) then the extra down time is worth it.

I'm guessing the half of the servers that went down were the West coast ones, because the two East Coast servers I play on were still up when I checked. They should all be down in a few minutes, though.

And they now are-and I wont expect them back up until noon EST (though I wont be surprised if its sometime after 11 EST).

And, ironically, the Server Status page is down, too: no matter how many times you refresh, it shows the status as of June 24th. Man, they can't fix that particular bug soon enough to suit me.

well as of 900am CST servers still down and no patch. Not sure what is going on. And no this is not for i16 that will be on test. We can only dream that it will go to live right away

I was wondering the same thing...has there been a patch pushed to live because it hasn't downloaded anything for me :/

I'm thinking it's all back-end changes, given that half the servers went down a couple of hours ahead of time. It's possible the double experience weekend hit them pretty hard and left some lingering problems. Might not even be a patch at all.

5.7 megabyte patch is now available to download. That's about the right size for the build that's on the Training Room, see the (munged up but barely readable) patch notes for July 20th and July 27th. No new features, no major tweaks, just about a dozen or so minor bug fixes.

Don't think this'll help, but, EU side we've had a patch and the EU servers are up, so I'm guessing you should be getting the same patch. The EU server downtime did over run a little too. Good Luck!
