I guess it depends on how you interpret Machiavelli's writings. Personally I think he's very misunderstood and labelled as 'evil' when he was simply very honest about what power would cost you.

But sure, sounds like a good enough name to me.

A girl virus?
Is that something like common sense that men can catch?

With the launch of the new booster pack, you might see a lot of male heroes succumbing to the girl virus...

I would say he was just one of the few people who admited it, but then I can be cynical at times

"Well, they found my diary today.
They were appropriately appalled
at the discovery of the eight victims
They're now putting it all together.
Women wrapped in silk
with one leg missing
Eight legs, one body, silk,
spider, brilliant!"

This

Machiavelli was the ultimate pragmatist, and way ahead of his time in terms of political writings. The Prince should be required reading for every school kid!

Indeed. He shows much insight into what we today would call "management".
And the name Mr. Machiavellian could work not despite it gives something of a "fair warning" but because of it. (Although Machiavellil might be misunderstood the adjective machiavellian hardly is. ) Reminds me of Talleyrand: Especially in his later years he was infamous for being a liar and a traitor, but that did not stop him. To the contrary: He used his reputation to catch opponents off guard and mask his real intentions (and deceptions) behind a big smoke screen.
