any pro's and cons?
P.s Does Blackwand light Oil slick ?

The main con is that pets flee from the burning oil slick area.
Both primaries gives you loads of control.
Blackwand doesnt light oil slick iirc. Only energy and fire attacks and blackwand is pure neg nrg
I really think that Mind is the set for pure control, Earth being a close followup. Plant, in my opinion, can be used in the same way, even without the single target or group hold powers Seeds of confusion+roots, in effect locks down a group totally and is available even at the lower levels.
I would just stay clear of gravity, fire or illusion for total control.
Earth control does have access to a fire based power, and iirc it does light oil slick.
Even I love my mind controllers to the death, I think Earth is better for team controller. Mind's best powers become a handicap in group play: sleeps.
Earth's other sweet spot is -def it provides so your team will hit easy/clear maps faster. With earth you will get : Mass Immobilize, Mass Hold, ST Hold and Immob, fun to watch KD power (Earthquake), Mass Stun and a good Pet. Even if you don't want to light up Oil Slick it works similar to EQ so you will be popping up all mobs on the area while your team heroicly slaughter them.
You can use Tech or Magic inherent powers (App.Charm and Teazer Dart iirc names correctly)
If you don't like Earth, you can pick Ice with secondary slow effects or Plant with too early AoE confuse. Ice lacks AoE stun and Plant has worst pet in the game from what i heard.

Personally I would have said Earth or Ice - both have some good lockdowns and ices slowing effects are not to be sniffed at.
Mind is great (I have a level 50 mind controller) but I have to agree with what Knightly said - the sleeps really not effective in group play.
EDIT: BTW if you want to light an oil slick cheaply, the magic inerhent power, Charm, deals energy damage so that would work nicely.
Earth/TA is very, very nasty. Plant/TA should be great fun too as a herbalist/druid concept toon (also great control).

Just adding that Earth was by far the most enjoyable troller I've played so far.

My earth/storm is badly slotted but hold anything, so many holds, debuffs, KBs etc it's great. especially in big teams.

I am making a PvE / TF toon...
Idea is to create a pure controlling toon, that can lockdown large groups of pretty much anything.
This will be for team play and dmg doesnt really matter, although i won't be avoiding Dmg powers.
So....
I have pretty much set my mind on / Trick Arrow... can anyone suggest Primary and Epic please.
