Hostages should cry for help.
but that would mean they'd have to get sombody to do the voices, while I do like the idea and support it, I get the feeling that it's unlikley to happen.
From a Villains PoV it makes little sense for a lot of "hostages" to be calling out as well since they're not actual hostages until you get your grubby little paws on them.
Well, I don't mean they should make elaborate speeches, or even cries as such (won't fit if the "rescue" is actually kidnapping anyway). Just produce some distinct sound effect like glowies (and mobs) do.
2 Carnifax: Yes, that's too is a problem. So, as I said above, scratch "cries", - just a distinct sound.
There's sound in CoX? Zomg!

Actually did Glowies get nerfed sound-wise in the past. I seem to remember them being much louder before than they are nowadays?

Some text clues to the location of the hostage/victim would be nice, as can be doen in the MA. Also, making them 'tab'able would be good, especially in that horrible 'Stop the Rikti Bombing' mission that Levantera gives out in RWZ. At least the bombs have the decency to be a) big and b) make a noise as they fall from the sky.
Well, /targetcustomnext (edited for typo) helps to an extent, but only if you know how the hostage is named beforehand. (plus, since there are no parametrized binds you can't chat while on these missions, or else you would have to retype the whole thing...)
there is something called scarred person sound, the one you hear when someone doesn't really talk or say words but do give sound.....just saying
What would be good would be if you heard them cry out, then a gunshot, then silence....... it would add more realism. just saying
"Well, they found my diary today.
They were appropriately appalled
at the discovery of the eight victims
They're now putting it all together.
Women wrapped in silk
with one leg missing
Eight legs, one body, silk,
spider, brilliant!"

I just use this bind whenever I want to find something on an outside map.
/bind t targetname Thingy
Where Thingy is the partial or whole name of what I'm looking for. Then fly around mashing T until I find it...

Renew! Renew!
Having run around like a loon trying to find that last hiding hostage, yes, a sound effect would be nice. But I've got no idea how it could realistically be introduced.

No, really. Why inanimate boxes can do "glowie-hum" but hostages are limited to text bubbles? In MA you can partly work around that by selecting highly visible and audible emotes, - boomboxes, CoT rituals, etc., but it would be really nice if it would be available without that, and if it would be used in canon missions.
