Well, as for me, a title shouldn't be TOO descriptive, it should make me wonder a bit. Hints about what the story is about are good, but it should be just vague enough that I want to find out more about it.
As to the story in question, how about: A Super-Ordinary Life ?
Disregarding the fact you skipped the fifties for some reason known to yourself, how about Half-a-century man? It's sounds both good and cheesy enough to work, doesn't it?

I view titles as of paramount importance - they are, after all, pretty much the first (and frequently only) bit of a mission you'll see in the MA 1.0 interface.
In terms of composition, I think of them no differently than I would, say, an issue of a comic (if I wrote them) - even more so for back in the day, when you'd have story titles on the front.
What I look for (and try to write) is a title that encompasses the gist of the story arc - eg "Cancelled in Three"; there are different levels of abstraction within that (my other arc, with Praet alternates of Crimson and Indigo, is "Opposite Ends of the Spectrum")
What tends to put me off is overly literal titles ("Kill Teh Rikti", "Rescue X"), because if MA creator X can't be bothered to think of a good title, what are the chances that the arc's particularly creative?
In terms of suggestions - "Five Times the Hero"? You could play on any of the elements of the arc, really - the time-travel, the 'five ages' aspect, heroism, what-have-you...

Lots of useful suggestions there - interesting hearing people's dos and don'ts when it comes to titling your arc.
How about 'Changes'? (I now can't get the song out of my head...)
Bi-Centennial Man?
Tastes Change?
(btw the ? is not part of the title...)
Signs of the Times?
Life Story of the Super-Powered and Infamous? (that's poor, I know)
Putting the/and/so/but as the beginning of a title confuses the hell out of the MA 'search engine'. Just a word of warning.

Maybe "Ages of Super Men" might work?

"Hero by duty. Legend by time."
"as time goes by"
"hero for the ages"
Heh adding my two cents.
Heroic Reflections.
one popped into my head on the walk into work this morning... which was weird because I honestly wasnt thinking about CoH on the way in..
"Its about Time"
These are all great suggestions - it's a bit of a slow burner, this one. There's an additional element I didn't play up earlier - at the end of the mission arc, you decide whether this hero exists or doesn't, so it's a kind of trial thing as well.

Okay, this is part asking for help with an arc, part discussion-starter. I'm slowly - in between actual work and other games - working up a nice little story where the player enters the life of a fictional hero during the forties, the sixties, the seventies, the eighties and the nineties, so it's both a life story and a commentary on how comics changed during those times. Coming soon to a theatre near you etc...
Anyway, it needs a title. And the title is, as we've been told, the most important bit - it might be what gets people to play the arc. Right now I'm thinking 'The Ages Of Super-Man', but let's face it, that's terrible. Strictly a working title.
Anyone got a better title for something like that? And what is it in a title that makes you want to take a closer look? How do you pick titles yourself? Are they that important, or am I giving them a mystique they don't deserve?
Let's talk titles, everybody...
