No, actually this is what he wants us to think.

Curses... one day there really WILL be a Hamidon eating Atlas Park and then you'll be sorry you didn't look away!

[/ QUOTE ]
A couple of years ago I spent time trying to find a womble spoon for eating lime jelly - then they changed the Hami raid.

If he did attack Atlas, I'd be more than happy to grab my womble spoon and spray cream and tuck in!

Womble Spoon????

So that where it went....oi give it back

Plus not every user will be english. I am sure that german and or french players with little english reading ability (and i have met a few of those) are not interested in grandiose english prose but might be tempted to do a good deathtrap mission.

Nice try at something that could help if it felt natural.. but it doesn't and I think your non-English speaker argument actually goes against the coding.

If I, as a native english speaker, sees the following 'R2D2S1A0' I'd need to refer to your handy lookup guide, unless I just guessed that the first half of the arc was a Star Wars homage.

[ QUOTE ]

story (where one tries to tell a nice story)
humor (Take this story with a pinch of salt)
aV (here be Arch Villains for you to slaughter. Bring friends)
deathtrap (how much thought is put into making this mission as deadly as possible)
canon (do we try to stick to the CoH universe or go way beyond the scope)
puzzle (here thinking is required to solve the mission)

[/ QUOTE ]
So that's the lookup table that should mean something to English speakers...

What of the French and Germans? Why on earth do you think that p would mean puzzle content for a German? I'd have to look at the table to remember what p meant as a native English speaker...

IIRC German word for puzzles is 'rätsel' - why would a p make any sense as an abbreviation?

But put the whole word in a description and the German speaker has a fighting chance of recognising it, much as I'd recognise 'rätsel' in a German description even if the rest of the sentence was double-dutch to me.

[/ QUOTE ]

Of course the german and french players would have acces to the lookup tabel just as the english speakers would have it. Btw I dont object to another code system if somebody comes up with a better one.

have acces to the lookup tabel

Or you could just discribe the mission in words so no one would have to look up anything.

/unsigned to any type of "code system"

I really should do something about this signature.

I also prefer words

but please have the right words in it then. I like to know if the chance for an AV excists... They already told us the missions are like TF's... So if you enter and find an AV you can't get any help.

- The Italian Job: The Godfather Returns #1151
Beginner - Encounter a renewed age for the Mook and the Family when Emile Marcone escapes from the Zig!
- Along Came a... Bug!? #528482
Average - A new race of aliens arrives on Earth. And Vanguard has you investigate them!
- The Court of the Blood Countess: The Rise of the Blood Countess #3805
Advanced - Go back in time and witness the birth of a vampire. Follow her to key moments in her life in order to stop her! A story of intrigue, drama and horror! Blood & Violence... not recommend to solo!

Absolutely agree with having a warning label. I have toons that cant take on an EB by themselves and toons that can handle an AV (with some difficulty) and running through a mission arc, really enjoying it and then running smack bang into an unexpected AV that faceplants me repeatedly and in effects negates any fun I've had up to then...

While a code might make labelling faster, it wont necessarily make things easier. People who dont read the forums will have to work out the code themselves.

Well its meant to be more then just a warning label. Though a warning label is part of the idea.

It was also meant to help people find good stories or specially themed missions. But it seems that a lot of people don't like the idea.

But to all those I would ask with emphasis. Be very precise in your descriptions please. Make sure that what I expect I get. If i expect a fun story and all i get is a deathrap, then expect to get a rating of 1. If I expect a deathtrap however and i cant find a way to beat it? Expect a rating of 5.
