Ill/Rad/Psy 1st Controller Build
2 more question:
1) is getting Flash + EM Pulse worth? With all the recharge I thought having an AoE hold every 40 seconds was too good to pass.
2) Are the Pet Recharge Sets working as intended? Do the Auras work for Illusion Pets?
For pet recharge set see Maelywns post in Inventions section.
I dismissed EM Pulse on my Mind/Rad but i have two powers to disable enemies unlike a illusion troller so i don't have any idea if they worth it or not.
For your build, i am not that keen on superior builds so can't say anything, sorry.
I think the pet recharge sets are currently broken, but will hopefully get fixed so don't worry to much about that.
If EM Pulse has an end crash I would skip it as I don't think you have a +end power. Flash on the other hand is a useful power to have, but not something to rely on. It works well as long as you use invis to get in the middle of a mob, though sometimes you will fail to hold a few bosses and will die, its a risk worth taking imho.
Don't have mids at work so can't make any more comments.
British by act of union, English by grace of God, Northern by pure good fortune!
I thought EMP only had a recovery crash for the user?
It also effects mobs end too iirc as it is aacepts End Mod enhancements.
To be honest i didn't find both EM Pulse and IW on Psy-knight. In solo IW maybe helps a bit versus surprise attacks by mezzers otherwise you have decieve (i have confuse and mass confuse) to effect mezzers in the first place to attack you or your team. Depending on decieve and your holds is better idea on a troller. IW maybe good for non confuse sets especially.
In the end it is best for yourself to see and respec it out or not. Every hero has their own unique style.
Yeah, EMP is a PBAoE Regen debuff, Hold, and Endurance Drain to mobs, and a 15 second Recovery crash to self. The drain, which only affects mobs, can be enhanced.
The endurance -cost- is a somewhat hefty 20.8. Think you can handle that and not recovering any endurance for 15 seconds? Then go for it.
The Col is correct, EMP has a Recovery crash, not an Endurance one. In other words your Blue bar stops recovering End for a while but doesn't get wiped like it does with Blaster nukes (Knightly is also right, EMP takes some End off your enemies too)
As long as you remember to switch off your toggles (which you won't need anyway) it's fairly easy to handle.
On my Grav/TA alterating the holds is a great way to mulch through mobs. On an Illusion/Rad I'd say its less useful since they're PBAOE, and Illusion has 2 other excellent crowd control tools in PAs and Spectral Terror.
I'd probably still pick up EMP though and forgo Flash.
I went Ill/Rad/Power ( cause PB'd EMP is too good to be true)
Flash I use if I see PA running out at a bad time, EMP is my main hold the fact I have conserve power makes that easier to handle I guess
As I was able to solo AV's and Monsters before I got epic powers I would say its a combination that's hard to make a bad choice in though
"Well, they found my diary today.
They were appropriately appalled
at the discovery of the eight victims
They're now putting it all together.
Women wrapped in silk
with one leg missing
Eight legs, one body, silk,
spider, brilliant!"
Thanks for the help guys.
EMP + Conserve Power seems good, specially when the last opens the way to get Power Boost. I'm about to switch my epics. Also because I realized that AM + Tactics will give enough mez protection.
EMP and Flash are balanced IMO. EMP gives you more toys to play with, but with a recovery debuff. What I don't understand is why people don't like Flash. Isn't it just like any AoE Hold?
Now, about Invisibility: Is it worth getting Superior Invisibility of I already have Group Invisibility? I know the first gives a bigger bonus to Stealth, but is it necessary? Is it useful? I may switch it to Mutation in order to be more team-friendly.
Cheers

Have to agree with this i went for the same epic and using conserve power with EMP negates the end recovery crash and its a very good hold .
I tend to use flash and emp alternativley but my toon is not reciped up as its in semi retirement sice hami raid got altered though he is still my favourite toon to play.Bring back on hammi and Cognitive Dissident may get some loving

Hello everyone
I'm planning my first Controller and I would like some opinions. The highlights of this build are perma AM, Hasten, PA and IW. I just hope the prices for Basilisk's Gaze lower a bit while I lvl
I know the Leadership Pool won't affect PA
