Great effort by all concerned. Worthy go, but we got beaten by a double spawn of mitos sadly.

We'll get him next time.

Maybe we should do one red side too

Well I can't believe how tenacious Defiant are really and have to own up and say that when it came to option 1 it sounded more exciting. I was very in for a penny on it, at least we know now. My first raid since the change and its changed lots on me.

He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.

Fantastic work organising this Ommy much appreciated, sad to fail, and while plan B backfired it very nearly worked and would have been a joy

Kneeling girls! Statues driving cars! What's going on? Ten years ago a man was arrested in the area for driving statues around in a car. Was it him?

lol that was brilliant, we where soooo close too getting him to 10% health before being wiped, i believe my original assumption was correct and that we could have actually gotten away doing plan b at the 25% mark and not the bloom at 50% all in all some good experience was gathered by all and i expect to see a vast improvement from everyone that joined today and are expecting to join next time.

Aye, and next time have a designated targetter for the greens which the teams leaders use, then the teams use the teamleaders targets

Lol found that rather funny had to drop my healing duty's to jump in and become raid targeter

Also just a quick apology, after the double spawn i had somewhat lost my heart for the raid and felt absolutely terrible about sending you guys into the grinder, all due to me wanting to get the raid over with as quickly as possible, next time we will stick to the plan by the letter.

Sapphic is right. What I've learned from today's Raid:

1.- Defiant rocks!

2.- Maxed HP WP tanks are great for Hami tanking since they don't depend on SB for Dull Pain

3.- Everyone needs to target same green, they're easy if done so and nearly impossible when split.

4.- It's difficult enough to make everyone turn up for EoE's (half the raid didn't have them) so I wouldn't overcomplicate it with further preparation such as Nukes / Shivans (great if available though)

5.- It's better if each Team Captains show up in time for the raid

6.- Being the Dark Defender on a Hami Raid is booooring

7.- Invuln tanks better use DP together with the EoE before diving in.-

8.- The cycling tank system is great, but as no possibility of heals inside the jello, maybe more empaths needed on Leader Team to always have some form of +regen buff ready, so certain empaths can be assigned to buff a certain tank.-

9.- Defiant rocks!!

P.S.: Did I mention Defiant rocks?

Edit: No need to apologize Omega, you did fine mate, looking forward to next one. Now we got Hami overconfident, piece of cake.-

tbh, I think that this is overcome by the empaths on cowards hill paying more attention to when the tanks come back. And by the empaths on cowards rock I'm mostly meaning me as I wasn't paying enough attention to the tanks coming and going. Fairly sure my buffs were available and unused quite a few times...

ill try and make a bind so i can quickly switch between team and local chat so i can ask the other nearby empaths to buff the tanks too. I managed to do it a few times during this raid but when other duties came up found my self fast forgetting, or i could assign that job to the second empath...

Maybe it would be a good idea to have MCX or someone else standing back from the fighting and just doing target direction, reminding people to buff, etc? I think that was where things fell down a bit in a few places -- there was just way too much going on for one person to direct AND get stuck into the fight at the same time.

Sorry to hear you failed it, everyone.
As much as I wanted to join in, other commitments (A full Beef Sunday roast at my Nans, including Yorkshire puds.) meant I couldn't join in the fun.

Better luck next time, and I'll be there.

Please don't get me wrong I wasn't complaining at all and prolly should have thought of it myself during the raid and said something, I just noticed that having more than one regen aura made a whole difference when into the jello. It was suggested to send a couple empaths to heal the tank, but that wouldn't work due to the heavy debuffs from green mitos, in fact I died once of DoT in Cowards Hill while a couple empaths tried to heal me to no avail since I still had the debuffs on me.

Also found out that when Hami is low on on Mitos, 2 - 3 Regen auras allowed me saving EoE's.

Dunno, maybe while Omega is checking everything else, someone on leader team, maybe the Dark or the TA should check that since they don't have much to do until Mito respawn.-

It was an interesting experience indeed the Hamidon today tbh.

Sorry to hear it failed but it looks like you all had a great time, I will be free for round 2 though !!!!!

its a shame we didn't do a count of how many rockets, and which types, we had. we could make a judgement on how much damage was done and how many more were needed to clinch it. It was only another 10%!!!

it might be better to play safe next time and stick with Plan A though (easy to say in hindsight i know), or at least clear down to the 25% bloom and then use the nukes as a speed up if EoE are running low, i dont know. I also thought that asking all those melee types with a ranged attacks to help out with the blues was inspired thinking on someones part, my scrapper has one with a quick recharge time on it, so if all melee types that were there joined in, it might be the "tipping point" thats needed if the yellows have been cleared first. i assume part of the problem at that point was that with the yellows down the greens had fewer mitos to heal and could focus heals, so it became harder to kill the blues? anyway, i thought that was a good idea, and meant everyone could be doing something at that point.

Personally, i'm always impressed when someone manages to pull together so many people all at the same time and make things happen, so well done to Ommy and the team leaders for that. i've been playing for over 2 years and never done the hami raid before, so i'm grateful for the chance. I think also its great for the community on the Defiant server that so many people showed up and got together to accomplish a goal. it was cool to see so many other players for something else other than a cossie competition

Big thanks to Psygon for sharing her stash of EoE's with the team, if she hadn't of done so, i would have been nothing more than cannon fodder. great looking cannon fodder, but cannon fodder nonetheless

looking forward to the next one, and to sticking the big overgrown ameoba where it hurts!
