Present mob levels
Levels 6 and 8 are in-range for Mercy Island's critter spawns (you get them in the elevated section). I agree, though, that the level of the snowmen could be better handled.

I was level 1 on heroes. Opened one in the car park next to atlas plaza and out popped 3 lil buggers- 2 conning red and 1 purple! No chance!

Got some +7s in Sharks with one of my kin/sonic - dropped one of them then decided after looking at my yellow health bar that I really should act like a villain when faced with uneven odds in the other guys favour - flee.
At least this year I haven't seen WLs camping the exit from PD - being killed before you finished zoning wasn't fun.
The lvl 6s in Mercy should be doable for most characters present - the lvl 8s otoh aren't really feasible for a lvl 2 - they weren't in the red or yellow areas of the zone by any chance - those areas are supposed to be a higher threat.

We had this very discussion last year so it doesn't look as if anything's going to be done about it. They spawn at random locations at random levels within the zone's level range. Not a major problem at higher levels but in Atlas and Galaxy it's a real pain in the neck.
i wasn't sure this was how they were meant to work or if it was a bug.
personally I like the way it is now better, enemies spawning at a lvl to match the zone. makes it far easier to get the candy canes as a higher level.none of my lower lvl toons have been bothered by anyone else's mobs in this event either, unlike at halloween.

Heh tried to edit that but it's too late. They don't actually spawn at random locations, the presents are always in the same place. Just the mobs spawns themselves are random levels for the zone.
This is rediculous. My lvl 2 corruptor opened two presents in Mercy, near Fort Darwin. Both mobs were three strong, one was lvl 6, the other lvl 8.
