Maneuvers on a scrapper gives about 2% better defence I seem to recall? Might be better off without it and save on your end? Parry will be more than suffcient if you can stack it with itself and even then you won;t use it very often. on my BS scrapper I only 'auto' it when I'm against lots of bad guys or they do alot of def debuff, such as Legionaires.
Build up, 3x recharge and maybe a to-hit buff as well?

Ok, level 47, most of the slotting is done, this is pretty much how it looks like now. Except i don't have IOs in Head splitter yet, and missing 2 slots from stamina. Also missing the knockback resist io in combat jumping.
Head splitter and Deflection havn't gotten their IOs yet, but prob will as soon as my bids go thru, little short on money atm. Parry is also not slotted with Luck of the Gambler yet, will prob be last thing i do.
Dropped maneuvers for super jump, i might actually drop super jump for something else too, i just didn't know what to put there. One alternative was to drop it and grant cover for aid self, but i dunno.
So far this build costed around 80 million inf, looking at around 70 more to finish i spose. Not too expensive, so far she's playing great, feels very strong and powerful

Putting a DefBuf enhancement in Combat Jumping is pretty close to pointless even with Tanker DEF scales. A Luck of the Gambler 7.5% global recharge bonus (or a Karma:KBP on DA or FA) is a much better use of a slot in CJ.

Anyway, lemme know if you get any ideas on how to do things diffrently (and perhaps cheaper )

Scrapper PF is 3,75% and as such you are not softcap to aoe.
Are you planning on hoverscrapping? If not you would have to deduct hover as well.

Yes i'm aware, but i'm not sure where to get up AoE Def, i think Ranged would be a tad low as well. But i'm not too bothered, for solo play that doesn't matter much, and i plan to team mostly.
And yes i plan to hoverscrap as you put it.
And you're welcome to try find some more slots for True Grit, without me losing def cap or effectiveness of an attack.
(also pondered moving the -res proc into slice instead of hack).

[/ QUOTE ]Eh, depends on how much inf you have; CJ on a Tanker doesn't get -bad- returns from a DefBuff or two, towards softcapping. At the very least, it's better than a Jump enhancement, if you can't afford anything more fancy than generic IOs.
I've played around a bit with Deflection and True Grit. I would have used HOs in Deflection, but they were coming upto about 45 mill on Wents which is quite a lot.
Disadvantages:
- Melee defence has dropped to 48.3%
- Very slight endurence usage increase.
Advantages:
- Regen increase by 12%
- Extra 5.3% in HP which increases regen again.
Reason for slot changes were that the full set of Titanium coating was giving you an extra health and melee bonus. Health bonus is now covered with Numa's in True Grit. Melee bonus I felt you didn't really need the extra 2.5%.

I know you wanted both whirling and slice but couldnt fit them both in. I prefer slice with the new melee range but you can easily switch things around and get whirling instead.
Thanks, but there's a couple of things i don't like with that build.It doesn't seem to become that much cheaper, mostly because i already have most of Envys build, i'm missing like 3 numina recepies, 1 sciroccos, 1 knockback prot and the two purple ones. With that slotting i would have to redo most powers.
If you look at my second posted build in this thread, that is actually how she is now bar one knockback prot io. (the build where i start with her being lvl 47).
I am also not fond of tought and weave, because i can reach soft cap without them, and i get much more manageable end consumption. I also dislike your slotting of shield charge with such low recharge, i franken slotted mine for max acc/dmg/recharge.
Also missing whirling sword which i quite want
Hover is also way underslotted for having it on while fighting.

Ah didnt see your other build. I like it except for underslotting true grit .
Also i have become hesitant to use enzymes in builds due to possible fixes, it becomes too good with the new defense bonuses.
I also would slot parry as an attack.
However thats just my opinions, if this fits your playstyle go for it.

Agreed, I wouldn't have it on a SR if I could help it neither. Looks like I am starting one of these up today and having to do a build and concept for it also. If I decide on over clocking it on Procs then, and only then fight pool may come into play as I would certainly not get the def bonuses and Broadsword can be Proc'd by so much choice. There would have to be a balance between the extra damage in attacks and the end cost of fight pools toggles.

To me with sr, tough and weave allows me to slot for more in attacks than just going for defense bonuses. And tough can be nice to have around S/L enemies.
Like my Claws/SR I would prolly opt for def bonuses as I like to take all the attacks if I can help it. Her current live build is just for certain tricks ie go into RV and taunt control Lord Recluse unaided; whilst people just hit him for damage; for free; but staying under a certain level of threat; for any given amount of time. Her planned build is 45% def, practically all the attacks and more about fun. Many attacks at your disposal equals a lot of fun.

well my fire/sr is still fun and all i am missing is the ugly firesword and confront. fighting allowed free slotting in attacks.
Oki, here's the final build
Had some diffrent thoughts and i think i cannot make it that much better for me. The only thing i'm thinking of is moving one slot from aid self to true grit for max hp or health for better regen.
Build is almost finished, missing some Numinas atm, and the tohit kismet in phalanx figthing.
Wish i could trade One with the Shield for 3 more slots

Ok, decided to make a preliminary build for my rising Sword/Shield scrapper.


Figure i'd mostly want some ideas from you people who are better at slotting than i am! Figured i went for added defense to strengthen Shields some. She had aroudn 40% defense to aoe, 38 to ranged and with double stacked parry her melee is around 80%
Biggest problem i see atm is the endurance consumption, 1.16 end/sec. But hoping conserve power and slotting 60-80% end reduction in the attacks with help. Along with the Numinas unique (which i already have in) Miracle (gimme!!) and the +end proc.
Edit: I also did not put purple IOs into the build as i felt this is more realistic to start off with, purples can be bought and slotted in later for better bonuses.
Edit: my plan was also to take hurdle over super jump, then slot in universal travel into sprint, but as that don't work... fooey!
