Best to look on ParagonWiki and find out what AVs/GMs each TF has.
Dr Quarterfield (Shard TF) has no AVs/EBs/GMs so is soloable but needs 8 players to start, and finding 8 players in the shards is normally hard. 
Synapse yoy have to kill the Clockwork King in the last mission, as a tank you might be able to not die by him but whether or not you can do enough damage I couldn't say.
Sewer trial - Don't think it can be done solo, you need to take down four (or more) generators at the same time.
For the rest don't know off hand but I think they all have AVs or worse.
I have soloed Positron, and Moonflower (that was before AVs got buffed though).
I think Sewer Trial requires 8 people.
There are the Ouroboros ones, I have soloed them all.

I think there's some simultaneous glowy clicks in that one. Justin Augustine's could be soloed if you can find 7 people to help you start.

Well in my experience the most fun ones to solo are the Ouroboros TF's as they tend to provide you with some EB to partner with, for example Nosferatu in the 5th column overthrow, that is a cool tf.
Especially on my Warscythe..my BS/WP scrapper (the one I sent you the build for 
) the last mish taking on the three remaining EB's (yes I didnt max the difficulty...im not suicidal 
) as when the ambushes come...and they come in waves, all it did was boost Rttc to silly lvls
The jade spider is fun also, you tend to get a few helping hands throughout, Manticore on a few then the last mish ...well I dont want to spoil it but safe to say the mission feels like youre a teacher at registration, with the most amount of followers you can get bar a mastermind
One tip though mate, if you want to see how your toon fares against an AV or high lvl EB try this, once you hit 50 and you want to test your new mega toon out, go to ouroboros and select "distrupt nightstars ritual" its a blindingly easy mish, simply find nightstar on one of the rooftops and defeat her...so all I did when testing Warscythe was to start on heroic, jump in, find her ...kill her then exit...done in 4 mins flat so then bump up the difficulty/rinse/repeat untill you find the lvl you are happy at
This is an easy way to test your toons survivability vs an AV that just deals damage, holds etc will come later but its a good (and very fast) way to experiment on your builds imho.

Thanks for the advice guys - I may venture into the SS at some point soon. I usually solo all things Oroborous as I can leisurely mooch through them and afk time doesnt matter. It was more for the badges I wanted the other TF's. Re Justin Augustine - doesnt his contain the Faathim AV?

Don't you need at least 4 players for simultaneous glowie mishes on that one?
We helped a mate starting it when he intended to solo the TF, as soon as he was alone in team, he was kciked from TF
I've solo'd all the content of the 1st 4 on a scapper and tank. Mostly I've done it for the badges for mates, they log in to start, all bar me and the people who want the badges quit, I solo the content and they then log on for the last mish when ever is sutable.
Any self respecting mele toon should be able to solo most of the tf content even if it is set for 3 or 4 people.
Plus if there is less than 3 people there are no AVs unless you are on INV.
Oh and stryke, that stop nightstar is fine unles your weak to nrg dmg. She put the furt on my DM/DA to the point where I had to pop a buch of purple insps.

That is a fair point, I was putting it from Warscythes experience so never thought of energy-vunerable toons 
But the same goes on war against such as Diabolique ...that Prae arc which contains Infernal is a double edged sword, Infernal is easy as my parry counters almost everythin he hits me with (melee anyway) but Diab is another kettle of fish, that constant phase/buggering off around the map causes me no end of pain.

I believe Spines/WP is supposed to be good for soloing TFs.
I'm rather hoping to duo* TFs once I have my fire/rads up to fifty.
*By duo I mean dual box them and solo as I'm the only one there.

And that I didn't know... that will make all the difference.
Now I know TFs are designed to be played with teams and designed to be a good challenge with a good reward (sometimes) but...
It is very rare I have the time or energy to spend hours playing my way through a TF (as much as I wish I did) with work and other life commitments and cannot set days/times when I will be definitely online. Therefore does anyone know which TFs are feasible to complete solo for a lvl 50 fire/fire tank so I can log on and off and complete over the course of a few days? Ideally I need:
Sister Pysche
Synapse
Sewer Trial
Eden Trial
All Shadow Shard ones
Any info/advice gratefully received
