On the Praetorian AV Shadowhunter does it really affect his regen if he is pulled into the water?

It's an old myth, along with 'DON'T TOUCH THE GLOWIES!' in Hero Respecs, and 'PVP is ruining my game'

Origin: He has Earth's Embrace power. This requires you to be on the ground to use. Some twerp thought that if you where in the water you wern't on the ground.

"Who is the more foolish? the fool, or the fool that follows him?"

It has always seemed nonsense to me but nearly every team I have ran shadowhunter with insists it is true.
I didnt think the engine could even support terrain effects?

Its silly yes but seems easier to just go along with it rather than stand around arguing over some sill myth.

Every MMORPG has its ridiculous superstitions. Don't kill Kel'Thuzad's cat or he won't drop his good loot, etc. It's like real life when people say it's bad luck to drop knives in the house or something.

As said before, it comes from the Earth's Embrace power that he has. Though I'm not sure if he'd be able to use it if he was actually *swimming*... anyone know for sure?

Unfortunately, I don't think the water's deep enough anywhere on that map to make a difference. Just slap him about a bit. He drops quickly enough.

The wisdom of Shadowe: Ghostraptor: The Shadowe is wise ...; FFM: Shadowe is no longer wise. ; Techbot_Alpha: Also, what Shadowe said. It seems he is still somewhat wise ; Bull Throttle: Shadowe was unwise in this instance...; Rock_Powerfist: in this instance Shadowe is wise.; Techbot_Alpha: Shadowe is very wise *nods*; Zortel: *Quotable line about Shadowe being wise goes here.*

It is bad luck to drop knives in the house - especially if you take your shoes off at the door.

If you get Shadowhunter into the water it doubles the effect of electrical attacks on him - FACT! I tested it on my neighbours kitten.

We don't need to, we KNOW you're foolish!

After all, you spend all day a few inches from random people's mouths, and their halitosis!

Yes, he could use it when swimming. the only thing water effects is the animation.

I'm not even sure getting him in the air would work: mob versions of powers often work differently to player versions.

There's really no such thing as "swimming" currently in the game - even in the Cimerora maps where you can go underwater, you're actually walking on the bottom of the pool while playing the swim animation.

Is that another way of saying they cheat?

Yes.

Some people believe it increases the number of spawns in the reactor and the myth has been perpetuated for the last few years.
