You don't have to leave them offline for the entire chunk. Normal log off time in the right place over a period of time = badge

And my horse doesn't need attention all the time anyway

I just started to read it, i got to the on patrol part. 10 bars max double exp, thus being logged of for 10 days.
THIS IS HEAVEN I TELL YOU! The call of every altoholic has been heard, has been granted! 36 characters now, this will go up to 50

But it's all the time you're logged off. So be offline for 16 hours on one day, and 16 on another, and that's a day and a bit done already.
Well, lets say i play 4 hours a day, 1 hour each character in with avarage i can work off 4 bars.
So i need 4 days to gain 4 bars on all chars, but i need 9 days to work off the 4 bars
So by the time i'm done, i already gained 5 more bars.

360 days? Yes, I agree with you. I'm not going to wait that long to get a badge and a small effect, devs. Perhaps if we wait that long we should get a long term goal, like, erm, free deodrant for after fighting the Vazhilok?

Sweet bejeebus! You guys do realise you don't have to do anything to earn those except not log in with the toon? It's a passive badge, you're being compensated for not being able/not having time to play with that toon. It's not like you're grinding for it and it counts time cumulatively so that even if you decide to log in, the time counted up until then is still going towards the badge.

Yes, but it adds up the break time you have - like if you play a couple of hours, then log off, then back on the next day, it counts the time you weren't online with that avatar.

yeah i spose its gonna be another one of those badges like feild crafter where not many people have it at all ^^
and to bluerabbit i know its not doing anything but alot of badges you dont actaully do much its just putting in a good few hours to get it, im just saying this has taken it to a whole new lvl!
im not to bothered if the devs keep like that but it came as a shock to the badge hunting system ^^'

No one has to permanently stayed logged out as what happens, as I understand it, is all the logged out time adds up to offer a bonus depending on the day job. You don't have to be a hardened badger to benefit by it nor stay logged out. Anyone whose not going to be playing in a years time needn't complain for any badge they didn't get as there account will be closed anyway.
