Issue 13 and SoA, duel builds?
From what I understand you will have to go to a trainer to change builds. I too am hoping for a dual build on VEATS, being able to change between the two even at a trainer would be great, basically 2 different characters to play!
@Boerewors
Very clear, you can only switch builds at a trainer, not on the fly.
However, Arachnos Soldiers are the biggest headache for duel builds because of the crab backpack. As things stand, if you switched to crab your back options (cape etc) would eb replaced with the basic backpack. If you then switched back your cape would be gone. If you changed you backpack at the tailor, then switched to bane and back to crab, you would find yourself back with the default backpack. This would affect all costumes.
This could be very difficult to fix, so instead they might put a bar on crab/bane dual builds, which would probably be extended to widow/fortuanta for balance.
I really should do something about this signature.
Mmmmh I think devs might get more complaints by preventing epics dual builds than by allowing them with little graphic bugs (not very complicated to fix, I think) ^^
It wouldn't be preventing dual builds, it would just be preventing selecting bane powers if you have crab powers in either build, and visa vesa.
One, someowhat clumsy work around for the costume issue would be to give you crab arms have any crab powers in either of your builds.

And how could respecs work in this situation ? If you have 2 bane builds and want respecing one of them in crab, by instance ? ^^
I'd assume a respec would affect the current build
Mind of Gaia lvl 50 Defiant's first Mind/Storm 'troller.
Deadly Doc 50 Dark/Dark Corr
and lots more on Pinnacle,Union and Defiant

Yes, and if you want to respec in a crab, since the other build is a bane, you get a crab/bane dual build at the end.
So why prevent that when you choose your second dual build ? ^^

If they went that way, then you would have to respec one build to wolf spider before you could change the other to crab.

So you would use 2 respecs when you want only 1 respec ? Or devs would have to find a way to respec 2 builds with only one respec ? They would prefer to memorize some parts of the epic's costumes, I think. More more simple ^^
Nothing in coding is simple. especially when you are dealing with an aging and clunkily written engine.
Maybe they will make it "remember" costumes, or maybe they will allow players to burger up thier costumes, or maybe they will find another solution, or maybe they will not alow respecing between crabs and banes. But to avoid disapointment it might be a good idea not to start planning your crab/bane dual build until we know more details.

To be honest I'd be surprised if it lets you flick between the two "paths" of a Soldier or Widow. It's not really in keeping with the spirit of the system as well : I can see it letting you flick between say an AOE Monster Crab or a more Defensive and Support Crab Build, but not between a Crab and a Bane.

Which means very special respecs for veats.
Still no official word on this?

I'm pretty sure that on the US fora I've seen that if you pick *any* Crab powers, you have the legs, even if you dual-build a pure Bane or Hunstman. On one hand, this is slightly disappointing.
On the other hand: stealth spiders
Cancelled in Three - MA ID #34608. Please play and comment! Top 10 placing in Projectionist's MA contest!
With 5 Veats who've been named. I was thinking along the lines of any builds being like one of these really:
Crab:
1 Build Long Fang.
1 build Webmaster.
Night Widow:
1 Build Blood Widow (kiter).
1 Build Night Widow Assassin.
Bane:
1 Build Executioner.
1 Build Tac Ops.
1 Build Scout.
1 Build Huntsman.
Fortunata:
1 Build Fortunata.
1 Build Fateweaver.
That's not even including going from PvE to PvP builds. If anyone wants a template build for any of them just send a PM. I don't expect a response and so felt safe to say that
He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.

I can confirm that this is true.

With issue 13 and the coming of duel builds i've just had a random brainwave surely having 2 builds means that you can now go down both paths of being a SoA? So you can have one build being a bane and in the other a crab and the same goes for forts and nightwidows, i don't know about you guys but that pretty much just made SoA even more epic.
However rather than get too hyper about it first i wouldn't mind hearing from a dev first on wither on not this will be possible?
But how sweet would that be being able to switch between the two sets hold a foe in place with the fort and then rush in as a nightwidow for a quick finish? suppose we won't really know until we see the duel build system in place but here's hoping.
