missions scaled on your power
Well, what kind of Tanker? A Stone Armour Tank in Granite is harder to solo (quickly) with than, say, a Fiery Armour Tanker.
So;
NO!
/unsigned
Too much trouble (balancing every powerset combination, otherwise it's useless) to be worth it.

Kerensky: this has nothing to do with underwear
Zwillinger: I put on my robe and wizard hat...
Synapse: I had to resist starting my last post off with "Yo dawg!"
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, NO!
Sam: "My mind is a swirling miasma of scintillating thoughts and turgid ideas."
Max: "Me too."

Could just be me, but isn't the current selection of difficulty levels for missions already in place for doing this?
My tanker would be offended if missions scaled on her powers.
So /unsigned.
How do you judge? My Elec/Elec Blaster storms through missions that my Ar/Dev struggles with. My Inv/EM Tanker solos stuff much safer than my MA/SR Scrapper, but much more slowly. It's far too sweeping a statement to say that 'this is what a Blaster can do'.
However, it turned out that Smith was not a time-travelling Terminator

The current system is perfectly fine. <text removed>
I would much prefer missions scaled first to your level, then +level based on your reputation and team.
This would mean you could never outlevel a mission, sort of orobouros in reverse...
Reworking reputation to work on two scales, numbers and strength would nice.
So if the numbers scale was set to the easiest setting you would face a mob +Lt or 3x mobs in an encounter, while a the hardest setting it might 1 Boss +2 Lt +4 mobs or something like that.
The strength would go from all even level mobs, to all +4 levels mobs.
Some ATs deal better with a horde of enemies, but fall easily to a few +4 mob, while others can take a few +4, but would fall to a hoard of even levels. (And some can take on a horde of +4, but that is another issue)
Also allow us to make ghost members, so a group of 3 or 4 could get mission as if they a full team. Or even a solo charter could get a mission like a full team.

In before lock.
And /notsigned. Too complicated, and given that thanks to IO's I've seen some blasters that are more survivable than some tanks, so pigeon holing ATs like that really wouldn't work very well.

Part of the fun of this game is playing it with an AT that many people don't think can handle a reputation. For example, the only things I've not been able to solo on my Blaster are AVs and Monsters/Giant Monsters. I may faceplant every now and then, and I may have to play it slow and steady, but I can play my blaster on Invincible with a reasonable expectation of success. Doing the same on a Tank may be slightly slower, but also far more certain, and therefore, for me, a lot less fun. I don't see why a mish should be made easier for me on my blaster, when I enjoy things just the way they are, or why a tank should have a harder time of it, and therefore have it take even longer than it does now.

The wisdom of Shadowe: Ghostraptor: The Shadowe is wise ...; FFM: Shadowe is no longer wise. ; Techbot_Alpha: Also, what Shadowe said. It seems he is still somewhat wise ; Bull Throttle: Shadowe was unwise in this instance...; Rock_Powerfist: in this instance Shadowe is wise.; Techbot_Alpha: Shadowe is very wise *nods*; Zortel: *Quotable line about Shadowe being wise goes here.*
dunno how many times it's suggested, but here i go.
it would be more fun if the enemy's where not only scaled on party size, but also power.
so let's say a blaster, it's not made to solo but many ppl still do.
so let's say a blaster enters the mission solo, the enemy's are scaled on such that the blaster can do it solo.
same with a tank, if a tank comes solo in a mission, the missions scales it self specifically for a tank.
when you are in a team, the mission will do the same thing, but for more powers.
so let's say 2 tanks 1 blaster and 1 troller comes in, the mission is then 50% for tanks, 25% for a blaster and 25% for a troller.
