1 vote for sm/elec. you wont regret it
I vote for Energy Melee/Electric Armour 
But if you really want Super Strength or Stone Melee, go for Stone Melee.
I vote for stone as well

Stone might be the better one, you get so much AoE KD/KB you can pretty much keep the foes on their butts for a whole fight 
this also opens up the possibility to use aid self easily in the middle of a battle

SS has better AoE IMO. Rage also buffs Lightning Field nicely, and allows you to slot differently (ie for end or rech) at less of a cost to damage.

SS/Elec if you want high tohit + damage buff/like secondary effects/DPS, Stone if you like high burst damage/juggling.
Either are good though

If you want pvp : stone, whose hold can detoggle acro. You really will need it against squishies or in group pvp.
If you want only pve : ss is a little better, due to a greater zonal attack (more base damages than the one of stone, and rage gives another advantage to it).
This is a pretty old post, even though this thread is for ss and stone/elec i decided to create a em/elec, he is level 32 so far and im really enjoying him
So im making a brute, but i cant decide if i should pick ss/elec or stone/elec, whats your opinion?
or is invul better than elec?
