A recording could show Coin scoring a kill on Mesmer. That is all. Which could record Coin as victor.
There could be no explanation for the timer suddenly jumping from 10 minutes to 3, to 0... apart from "lens flare".

There's always that small problem that love isn't really like a torch, you can't just beat a guys head in and take the torch of a womans love from him.
