Decoration around the Pillar of Fire and Ice

Last night I took the opportunity to place a Pillar of Fire and Ice in our SG base. The disappointing thing is that it was to go in the control room (I understand the idea behind it going there), and this along with the power room we have always put to one side and left undecorated.

Does anyone have any good designs for tech' control rooms for small bases that look good so the pillar doesn't look too out of place or just sat in a bare room with a big computer?

(I'm a not very good at making the base look good, as you might have guessed. )

ive found it hard to decorate the control room as well mainly because of the lack of things i would like to see there like computer consoles from some of the tech based missions like council bases your typical lab look and maybe even some of thearchonos stuff jus to add the actule feel that it might actly control something

There isnt a problem on earth that cant be solved with the proper aplication of hi explosive's

Our fire and ice pillars all look out of place in our tech base, so your not alone

see it as a magical item that is being tech manipulated

Place it a tad by itself surrounding it my file cabinets.. (the large ones) give it power by placing heavy cables and junction box on the wall right next to it. Place stackable counters there.. with screens on it and server racks.

Few tech lights in the ceiling.

Now this will look as if you technically control a mystical item you got youre hands on.

btw.. I have a mystic base and I just placed it in my dungeon/Sanctum Sanctorum setting. It s easy in place there. No need for any fancy stuff

I agree - control rooms are hard to decorate without using 'control' items as decoration. Wall-mounted monitors, decent looking (and colour-coorindated) server stacks, terminals, etc.

We need decor!

We are called Wizards Inc so maybe it should all be changed to Mystic instead.

I like the idea of power cables etc. I'll have a play tonight.

Our base is totally Tech and it looks fine in there. I've got a monitor for it and a control console. I think we just have to accept that not everything has square edges even in a tech base

ok now thats a silly idea however it was widely requested last year by loads of people i even joined in and you know there wouldnt be a single base that wouldnt have its tree up for the big day
