Rikti Muffins - regular helpings?

With there being more regular servings of Rikti Muffins in the warzones, a few people asked about the old Hami Costume colors, but with the introduction of villians into this, perhaps a shake up is needed!

This is experimental, if there are better suggestions for colors, please let me know!!!

Scrappers: Yellow
Perimeter Guard Scrappers: Yellow with black "sharp" details
Blasters: Red
Defenders: Blue
Empathy Defenders: Green
Controllers: Purple
Tanks: Black
Peacebringers: White with a blue stripe detail ( mark of respect )
Warshades: Black/Purple blend.
Stalkers: Yellow with red stripe
Brutes: Grey
Dominators: Orange
Corrupters: Red with orange stripe
Masterminds Dark Blue

each costume used tights, no detail pieces and the full helmets. no wings, no auras etc of course

might relieve some of the lag people are getting!

I already made for our last raid (altho i dced at the mid of it). But should i change my sightless mask to that non-stylish tin can head?

And you can call me anytime for it. I respeced Psy-knight for Rikti Raid friendly build (IW and EM Pulse in) and ready and eager for duty.

it'll be great to get back to some form of regular batterings! miss the good old day, and Crim spends most of his time in the easy chair atm leavin the Crime fighting up to the little ones!

Will have to make a cossie for Peace as i would eventually like to get him out to fight the good fight!

Get some going on the weekend, and I'm game for anything.

lol, can't even get people not to wear wings, capes, auras.. People even started harassing me when I asked politely...

"You don't pay my subscription", "Get a better computer" etc. I kept telling them politely that I personally had no problem with it, but it's polite to others to aviod as much GFX lag as possible, since the game engine is so ancient and crappy.

But a nice idea nontheless!

Then those people need to get sorted out.

Considering the amount of trouble we had previously on Hami Raids either when I ran them or Lost did.. then those moronic idiots (people in regards to) will realise, that not only does it help those with lower end PCs.. BUT.. BUT.. it also helps the actual zone mechanics as well as it doesn't lag it out into oblivion.. ergo.. "failed raid".

Some people get lag.. other's don't but that doesn't mean the (KEY WORD) ----->> ZONE <<----- (KEY WORD) doesn't suffer from all the GFX/Animations/Action going on in one place!

Less things to draw.. the easier it is on the Zone itself to carry on working in one location. (Same rules apply for ANY Game or System out there)

So the "no capes" "no auras" "no wings" has more meaning than to do with the PCs daddy got them It does in fact have more to do with the fact the zone can't handle the amount of stress XXX heroes/villians in one place at one time.

*shrugs* Not a hard concept to figure out.. but as said.. like on the Hami Raids of "oldeé" there are always those that have no consideration for others.. and wonder why we [censored] at them for it.

Well if I get home in time for some later in day I'll come lend a hand as I've caught up on my Hami-esqué tactics for these raids.

Also any Weekend Raids I'm up for fully.. unless something else comes up.

as i said in the other thread, working weekends sucks because i can only raid in the evenings, but I might throw one together for saturday / sunday!

Update: Having seen the various tactics for the raid, we just tried a new one tonight on RWZ 1. Ran it twice just to see if it was fluke, both times it seemed to work well.

We made a sweep round the zone as normal, ending in taking down Pylon 1 below the ship. Directly above pylon ! is the wall which the grates are located.

The plan, was to group up at the southernmost part of this wall and move inwards, destroying grates and planting bombs as nessecary to damage the ship. As a grate was destroyed, we moved inwards to what I lovingly refer to as "the toilet bowl" of the ship.

We attack and defeat enemies as one large force, with a healing blanket on us as all times, which becomes the defensive "turtle" in which we all move together. It's a bit of a lagfest, but the raid costumes really help cutting it down.

Once we have moved into and occupied the centre, we can defeat rikti in their attack waves, giving priority to taking out the Rikti Magus first, so that major casualties can be avoided.

We stay in the "toilet bowl" once we have occupied it, defeating all targets so long as the shields are down. To extend the raid an experienced team can break off to plant more bombs, so long as it doesnt comprimise the turtle and that the team realises the turtle cannot leave the toilet bowl to support them.

We took a few casualties when a whole wave of Magi turned up, but using the "turtle" we quickly regrouped, retook the centre and successfully completed the raid.

My thanks to everyone who participated and put up with me this evening, I hope to lead more raids in future using this plan to continued success!

It went really well tonight, despite my doom-laden comments I will certainly be there again for any muffin collecting you see fit to arrange. Unless its a monday, tuesday, wednesday or thursday... wow, I didn't think I was unavailable that much...

Glad everyone had fun and some good rewards, which is always my main objective!

Overall the plan works well, just need to find a way to overcome the casualties we suffer from bombs!

I think tonight, if everyone can, raid costumes would help, as well as spending some vanguard merits on the psionic shield for the magus wave's in the bowl.

I'll see if I can get a few laps round the zone going, just hope everyone is ok with me bossing everyone around to stay together on the ship all the time

Just noticed this thread and wanted to say how well you've run the raids I've been part of. The "slow moving turtle advancement" worked extremely well and was most enjoyable. Tho, like you have said, the explosions from the bombs are still causing a few problems. The AoE on those seems to be quite large.

Going to ensure I make a raid costume for all future events so please keep your eyes peeled for a little broadcast from FrIce

thanks for the kind words

Tonights raid went well, mission accomplished as usual. but there was a learning experience from tonight. The turtle only works if everyone uses it, we suffered some serious casualties when a few people didnt move forward and aggro'd a respawn from the saucer, and another incident where people decided to try and solo the Elite bosses from the centre while we were trying to take the edge of the centre!!!

methinks I'll be putting together a full raid strategy tomorrow morning
