Making new mm, what sets?
Doesn't the lag make ALL your toons unplayable?
EDIT: Battle Bots / Force Fields? They wouldn't be able to hit you and with Force Bubble, they wouldn't be able to get to you.

Yes, but I will just be making the character right now; once the lag is over I will play him.
Ninja/Poison says I. Active, powerful and fun. (I am biased)
@False Fiction - Virtue / Defiant
Current projects - [Glaciologist - Ill/Cold Troller] [Cloudshaper - Storm/Dark Def] [Harald Wartooth - Elec/Psi Domi]
I gotta say Ninja Poison or Ninja Traps. Thugs poison I have seen chop down some tough hero's. Its gotta be close to same in PvP.
Personally, great success with traps and TP foe here.
Your
Private Dancer
Necro/Poison for the Zombie Shuffle, coen and AoE vomit attacks, an extra (controllable) pet, lots of DeBuffs, a single target ally heal and a self heal, lots of holds and other tasty mezzes and the Fork of Doom.

WEll for primary I'd look at three things for PvP - Mercs & Ninja's spam good caltrops or web nades to keep opponenets ncie and slowed while thugs dish out good damage with alot of toys on the bruiser and i believe the best dam.
For secondries posiens have some great ST debuffs to hack down your target.. Dark's AoE heal can make you and your minions a hell of alot tougher (Better with ranged set of pets imo) and tar patch can trap your opponenets. But if you want a fortified MM i'd say the tp gank to traps is a very powerful set.. but then you will be the target for all tp foe/wormhole and people may simply kite you forever...
but hey this is just my view..
I play Thugs/poisen and have great fun
Wouldnt necro/poison be at a bit of a disadvantage as it lacks ranged? Does that even matter? I thought mm had to have ranged to compete in pvp. Yes I accept that I am probably wrong. Just want to know, thx.
dont take thugs it is to same as everyone elsey take nerco/ff like me haha

Well, Zombies best attacks are a cone and AoE vomit, plus they have a ranged Siphon Sife. Grave Knights get Gloom, Dark Blast (I think) and Siphon Life. The Lich has ranged cones and mezzes and the Ghost has ranged attacks and mezzes. So Necro is a bit of a mix.

OK, I just made a necro/poison. Does anyone have any builds they would recommend. I was thinking something w/ sj and tp pools.
Well, mine's a little on the active side and the slots will vary up until the 40s. The main bulk (first 30 lvls) look solid to me though. You probably will need stamina as the Poison Debuffs are very end heavy, as is the heal. Take out Siphon Life to add CJ and perhaps move Stamina around to fit in SJ.

There we go. Silly me
3 acc 3 dam for the first 2 pets. End reducers, accuracy, debuffs and recharges for weaken and envenom, slows/recharge/end reducers for toxic breath. A choice of acc, dam, hold and recharge for the ghost (soul extraction) I'd say at least 2 recharges. Acc, holds and fears for the Lich, maybe a dam or 2. [/Edit]

This is a pvp build I assume?
Nope, PvE all the way for me, although I really have no idea if it could work as a PvP build.

Thats what I was asking about in the first place. What sets for pvp?
That's a good point
It just needs a little power shuffling - like dropping Antidote and Elixir of Life for SJ.

I've got a Necro/Posion at 39, my (poor) advice is
You will need stamina, not only is posion a bit heavy but as Zombies are a bit flimsy you will generally have to grind them a bit (I run on relentless), and that's when you'll start to run out of endurance.
Zombies and Grave Knights are damage dealers but Ghostie and Lich are control/debuff so don't slot them for damage, it's a waste. Fear (from Lich) is great as it helps reduce the agro on your damage dealers.
Speaking of Ghost slotting put 2-3 recharge in it, I don't have hasten but aparrently with you can stack two Ghosts.
Necro is great at 'hot dropping' as the animations are short, generally you can survive even those really awkward Arachnos missions where yuo start in a mob.
Everything from Poison is good apart from Posion Trap which is sodding awful.
Just a bit of lunchtime stream-of-thought for you all.
I currently have a necro/poison MM with PvP in mind. will i am pretty sure bots would have an easier time i certainly have fun and enjoy being the only necro PvP MM i know (the only necro MM in my SG too) but mabey i need to get out more. my current build is This if the link works, and its done pretty well for me. when thing go wrong it is usualy my faults as a player and not the build.
Endurance - this is really important, everything sucks your end quite drastically ( i want power mastery ;p). dont be afraid to slot For end instead of recharge or improving the debuff as most powers dont stack with them self. Also they are pretty effective and you would want to try and keep em perma on your oponant, something that cannot be done if you have no end.
Soul extraction - i found that power amazing around lvl 18 for quite some lvls until i rarely used it after lvl 30. i personally don't use it for PvP. i can see why some would take it, it doesn't despawn after you die it also allows you to place 4 mag 3 holds on a target, more at lvl 50 if you can stack you own. i have had 6 holds staked b4 through alot of luck easily enough to get a tank that was cockey enough to leave BF'S at home. but i find it largely ineffective unless your lich dies and you dont want that (from a zombie it coms -2lvls to your opponent, how often do blue cons cause any trouble in PvE).
and slot your lich 2acc and 2 tohit debuff the other to are up to you, i usually take 2fear.
Good advise is contained in the linky, if you do make a necro poison good luck and hope you have as much fun with your zombie horde as i did.
P.s Slows are you friend, get em, slot em, love em
I am going to make a new mm as the lag makes my other chars unplayable right now. I would like to be able to pvp alot w/ him(important to me), and was just wondering what sets anyone would recommend. I was thinking something like zombies/dark or/traps or /poison. I am not sure though. I have read alot of other posts here and have seen that mm's are not that bad for pvp and can do some dmg in that regard. Can anybody recommend any they like from knowledge or person experience? Any suggestions are appreciated.
