My Given Challenge...

Hey all.

The wife-to-be has set me a challenge, as she's tired of no matter what toon I play/make myself, it's too "overpowering" and she never gets a kill in edge-ways once I get into the "groove".

So she has set a challenge, I have to create and play to 50 a most GIMPED to HECK build imaginable.
But she knows me, and no matter what she can gimp, I can play, manage and level.

So I've put the challenge out to the others I know that know builds/gameplay as well as I do.

So.. the challenge::
===============

Level:: 1-50 (over time) no Respec used..

Build:: That's for people to think you and build/plan, and she will approve one of them (complete with slotting if you wish) and I will proceed to play it and complete it..

AT/Powerset:: Doesn't matter what..

Also note, it has to have, within this build:
(as per her orders to add here)

<ul type="square"> [*] Flurry[*] Whirlwind[*] Stealth[*] NO IOs used at all[/list]

So.. get thinking guys and gals...

I would really wish nebody luck with this build ... but u wanted a squishy build here it is .... One basic Sheild and a REZ (thought is better put this in as this build is teh suxors)

Leave the slotting to u but with no stam health this build will not last long at all

if u want sheild builds take Stone Armour with the Ice build above ... But to be squishy dnt go down the fitness route witha tank

enjoy this build and pls keep us updated with how u get on with it if u do choose this build

Unlike the others, i'll go for the buffer/holder AT. Tankers and Scrappers do have damage, so they aren't completely gimped (as fire/ go burn, stone/ got granite).

Try playing earth/sonic to 50, or earth/ff, ice/ff - something like that - one of the trollers primary which does no damage (compared to fire/ trollers O.o) and a secondary which won't make it easy on you to solo (like /rad, /kin).

@Double

Double Flame 50 fire/devices
Double Shade 50 tri-form warshade
Double Light 50 dwarf-human peacebringer
Double Control 50 earth/rad

Notes on how *cough* I play this build *cough*
1: you should really have all the toggles running... Really!
2: the recharges in toggles help because you will run out of endurance but popping a few blues helps because the toggles are back up again!
3: the def debuff in attacks is also useful because I couldnt afford any accuracy or damage in the attacks so you hit the foes more easily

It's a really nice build

Only in your dreams, kiddo.. he's the same build as he always was, when he showed you how it's done and you talked to me about his build and how to change yours so long ago... he only get slotting changed in accordance to Issue Updates. I don't gimp my builds, old friend, and he was around long before you own Fire/Ice

It has to be at least playable, to some extent.. even a gimped build is playable, AND no matter how gimped a build can be.. the builder still has COMMON SENSE.

Is this build meant to be gimped for gimpedness sake or just one to make your wife-to-be have fun?

The suggested powers imply that you should probably be a speedster... I like Super Reflexes as a speedster but scrappers do too much damage for this challenge, although you could just have powerpool attack powers.

I'm thinking that something controllery or defendery is probably best, probably with one of the buff sets ( rather than debuff ). I suspect empathy is probably 'best' for low damage, so stone/empathy perhaps? Empathy also has the advantage of Fortitude, so you can make your wife-to-be shine especially if she plays a scrapper.

I wanted to include Boxing/Tough from Fighting pool but then I had to skip Stealth and Whirlwind which were mandatory in your build.

Specifically: "gimped for gimpedness sake"

and I'll play it to 50.

All those builds, the so called "we know better than you" and "Min/Max" morons, now get chance to actually choose a gimped one and I play it, basically.

People believe an Gimped build is pointless, my wife-to-be wants to see if I can play gimped builds as well as my "usual" and "perfected ones" - as they get boring after a while.

Is this gimped enough?

I like the look of that one, actually.

I haven't the slotting quite right. However this is as gimped as I could face making a build. S/he still should be able to do somethings, but less effectively than a controller.

* First 2 attacks ( Flurry and Thunder Kick ) slotted for disorient, for extra control. There are only 3 attacks, Jump Kick is the big hitter.
* Has both fear powers for soft control, these are both inefficient use of slots, bang for buckwise.
* Whirlwind early on for annoying tankers. No wussing out and getting it at 50. This will be an end nightmare ( from my experience of using it on a scrapper ). I didn't put knockback in there, somehow I couldn't face being that nasty.
* More taunt powers than you can shake a stick at, because they are available. Importantly they are also slotted well.
* Reasonable from a defensive point of view. I had to get some powers.
* Fast, with swift and quickness, however maybe I should have slotted them up earlier.
* Elude slotted for runspeed for those extra quick moments.

@Unthing ... Mostly on Union.
