Winter Flare you have well and truly hit the nail on the head! I'm a total badge nut and I still haven't managed to get this one for the same reason (the only GM badge I need). So if you're looking for a team to open a can of whup-@ss on him - give me a yell and I'll be there!! 
Any possibility of gathering a group of heroes to take on paladin and then wait for the spawn?
Does anyone know how often paladin spawns at all?
This one eluded me for a long time, think it wasn't to my second year of playing did some one stumble upon a construction site and rallied us all together to take down the construction site where pally was being assembled.
I wasn't aware you could force the spawn tho, as could have had it lot sooner if i had know that. Always thought was a rare spawn, right place right time sorta badge

Well, I found a wiki on the actual event (he has his own page!) and it says that the spawn is up to 36 hours (but could be one minute) after the respective GM is killed (three GMs, three spawn points).
I'll try to find the page and link you guys up. Mainly because of another peeve I have...
The construction site involves a lot of cogs. That much we know. However, it also involves a GM getting BUILT, scaffolding, and a little ladder (quite adorable, actually). The thing that really gets me riled up, is when someone gets to a spawn point, sees a normal mob group of about six cogs, and they just stand there, waiting for him to be built - THAT'S NOT THE GM SPAWN CONSTRUCTION SITE!
*Breathes* Ok... Aero, I'll add you to my global list tonight (I thought you were already on it) and I'll give people a shout whenever I pass through Kings. As I said before, we just have to make a big thing about taking down the GMs when they're plodding around Paladin Park, so that we can get him to spawn more often.

I've been lucky enough to get Knight Errant on a few of my characters now, but I'm always up to do it again! The construction event is pretty crazy and good fun. Count me in for helping make him spawn.

Likewise, I believed that it was a rare spawn....but the right time, right place scenario definitely works....I have earnt the badge on 4 alts, within the last 2 months...! You guys just need some lucky dice!

I was really lucky getting the insect wings - got them at lvl 10 on my WS - yay(!) only, I had a brain fart moment and in all the excitement, made them and then remembered that you can't get flight on a WS at any stage (except in squid form) so I'll never see them in their flappy gorgeousness, except that small instant after emerging from tp - boo(!) 
You can drag the spawned Paladin to the police drones at the Galaxy Gate, its not hard to do though doing all three at once would be perhaps pushing it. I have done that several times. And beaten him once as a duo with a kin defender again not impossible. But yeah if you're not a glory hole then drag him to the gate and let the drones deal with him.
I'll gladly come to smash up Paladin if there's a chance of getting the badge for Chi Tarah. Give a yell when you want to try, and if I'm on and solo, I'll come along
Also need some people willing to help defeat Eochai in Croatoa, but that's a whole different OT matter
I have the badge, but if you need help with camping the spawn points, I can help out.

He/She said on DefiantBadgers that he/she had to log. I went to Kings Row to see if there was still a team forming but there wasn't so I soloed Paladin and left 
And by "soloed" I mean "hit Unstoppable and dragged him to the drones"....

Could we schedule a time to attempt the paladin?
As many people are aware, Paladin, the Clockwork GM that roams Kings Row, is one hell of a slippery mob to catch for the badge. Why? Because killing him isn't enough - you need to prevent his construction if you want the prize. Unfortunately, I don't think that the people hunting for the 'Knight Errant' badge (which, as badges go, is graphically very nice) are really putting their minds into top gear. Here's the usual situation...
You get to Kings, and you start to hunt. You fly north to 'Paladin Park', that patch of grass near the Galaxy City entrance where the spawned Paladins always congregate. You do a head count... there are three present. 'Damn', you think. Why? Because there are a maximum of three spawns of the big P at any one time in Kings Row, and there they are, all running around. Very well - you try to pull a team together to lay the smack down on these oversized pocketwatches with legs, only to be told that 'it's not worth it, because that's not how you get the badge'....
Well, clearly. But therein lies the problem.
Because everybody wants the 'easy' win, no one is ready to put the work in. In order to force Paladin construction sites to spawn, the heroes need to regularly eliminate spawned Paladins, and then patrol the three hotspots to see if construction sites are appearing. If they're not, disappear, work a little more, then go back. Checking 'Paladin Park' every so often will help you to figure out how many have spawned in your absence, and if need be, you can 'clean his clock' all over again...
I've wanted 'Knight Errant' for quite some time now - and it's bugged me more and more that I've never been able to get it. I regularly head to Kings Row, to find three giant clockwork machines rampaging through the North sector, terrorising civilians and generally going unchecked. With a little actual effort, some co-ordination, and an understanding of what hunting this GM actually involves, I think that it is possible to see a large number of heroes walking away with this 'rare' badge.
So - if you pass through Kings Row, head to the North sector, and look for Paladin(s). If you see one, and you have a few minutes spare, give out a shout, and bring the heroes to you. Wipe him out, and give everyone else a chance to get the badge!
