I enjoy pvp, and like londoner said, i keep geting killed by one manic pvp'r. I still want to go into RV to do pvp now and again, but the experience is like aggitating. And i don't want to be 'forced out' of the zone by just one player. Seveal time now recently, as soon as she's on the zone, i get killed, i give up and leave.
Harbi, when there is a few Villains in that zone, they should team up, if anything of that sort is going on. If you are alone, it's best to do something else, as you will be the only source of "entertainment" at that point.
If someone is repeatedly picking on you AND ignoring other targets, AND comments support the idea that they are ONLY picking on you, from a broader selection, because of AT, or person, then make a note of how long this is going on, and the number of attacks. Then report it, if you think it's getting overly personal.
Also, even with a heavy it's not riskless, as when my heavy comes accross some longbow and attacks they'll usually end up aggroing on me for some reason.

I cant help thinking that it would need a very explicit verbal tirade from the guy or a very, VERY prolonged set of attacks, or lastly a bout of droning for example (if that is still frowned upon, im not sure) to get some event stopping action via a GM or a petition.
As has been suggested gather some like minded pals Harbi and bash this guy till he gets sick of it , or just give RV a miss for a while.
I know the xp is good there, but it aint that good to warrant high blood pressure.
You are in an excellent VG, make use of them, Silent Knight likes you a lot he will help you out with some LRSF runs i know for sure, and 5 of those will be the end of your 46-50 grind without any more drama. 
Oh and GRATZZZZZ on dinging 46 last night too, i had popped into RV myself and saw it in broadcast

The moderators decide upon whether disciplinary actions are needed. These are usually invisible to the ones who petitioned as its done hush-hush. Even in the harshest singular cases I know of so far this has been maybe 24-48 hour account ban I think. So nothing groundbreaking. There is one person in eu who was said to have received permanent account ban but that was after about a years worth of infringements, and I dont really have factual evidence thats really what happened. (you know who im talking about) He is still with us anyway, but with apparently different account.
edit: as far as I know, so far the account bans have only been awarded from violating chat rules, ie. bad language, or exploiting bugs/glitches. I dont know of a case where someone has been actually punished for just picking on someone without verbal abuse in the equation.

Yes and making no attempt to hide the fact it is him , so if they intended to permenantly ban him, they would have done as the new account has been petitioned too but hay ho, £8.99 a month is £8.99 a month.

a.) grinding xp/inf/prestige in RV is not forbidden
b.) attacking grinders is not forbidden, PVP zones are supposed to be dangerous places, to justify the good rewards.
c.) moaning about getting killed in a pvp zone will not earn you points.. Trust us, we keep hearing quite enough of it. If you want to continue grinding in RV team up. Or if you think RV is too tough for you grind newspaper missions.

d.) just because lots of people do something, doesnt make it 'right'.
I've heard people who don't want to PvP using something called the Care Bear Stare. Might be a temp power or something. I've no idea what it's supposed to do but it's worth trying out I guess.

Harbi, it can be annoying what is happening to you and I have read what has been happening in SG chat, and you have indeed fallen victim to what normal people would call 'picked on' to the extent that I would call it harrassment. Your not the only one who has been picked on in RV by the person so hopefully that will ease some of your pain.
There is nothing much you can do but to call in back-up or leave the zone, there are lots of people out there that will be willing to help you. Timing is the problem however with the LRSF most nights, which you will be welcome to join us for a run on that and it will not be a grind.

I was in RV with my def for a few times. Most of the time villains punched me bad. I went and I will go back.
Maybe I just never learn.
(Note: In PVE you got faceplanted more than a hundred times I am sure. The thought that a brainless program can beat you at least a hundred times is more calming than the fact that somebody is better than you in one thing? Now that is something you need to explain guys :P)
I have a couple of questions for you/your company regarding abuse/harassment policy (largely unrelated to the initial post).
For about three or four months myself and a member of my SG have been getting a torrent of abuse, swearing, sexually explicit tells, sexually explicity comments on broadcast, and general nastyness from someone, over and above the usual swearing and childish comments that we get in PvP zones.
1. Do you think it's right that it's taken 4 months and several petitions plus chasing up petitions to make sure they actually get read, from both of us, for this to stop (at least temporarily - I don't know if it is him that's been banned, but he's at least gone quiet for a little while), yet if I posted his name or screenshots on the forums it would be instantly deleted and I'd be told off like a naughty child for breaking the forum rules? Can you see how this would be incredibly frustrating?
2. Given that everyone knows (or thinks they know) what a complete joke the ingame rules on behaviour standards are, and how rarely and weakly they're enforced, are you surprised at the standard of behaviour ingame?
3. Do you think that a certain amount of abuse, swearing, and comments of a sexual nature are acceptable in a PvP zone?
Due to PvP being consensual in CoH there's really no ingame remedy for this sort of problem. Either the game has a policy on this sort of thing, or it doesn't. What's the point in it being there if it's not being enforced/being seen to be enforced? Where is the deterrant for those people who want to act like this?
Some good comments there. It is not right people have to suffer such abuse and it would defintely provoke a response from many people. Personally I take it on the chin (shouldn't be that way) and the deterant would be if I see them they could expect to be killed. Not much of a deterant but atleast I would get some satisfaction from it.

A question here. Were these 5 other villains all solo or in teams? If you were the only solo villain he could find, it makes sense that he'd keep going for you.

That has been my single biggest gripe about this forum from day 1.

I think you should be able to use reasonable force to rebuke rebukes / insults / jump ons etc, as wll as the odd screeni to highlight a particular idiot issue without the usual thread locked, warning/ ban ensuing.
I hear now the howls of "well who decides whats reasonable force?"
Well Bridger, he's too busy? Employ a few more moderators. Its a work from home possible poition, and not hugely costly.

Have a seperate "free for all / fend for ya self" section on the boards with a disclaimer/ age limit on entering it. For the perfect place for some unmonitored verbal pvp

I am sorry but it is a PvP zone . If someone broadcasts "I am farming!" I go and kill them. But only once... or twice. 
I used to be like that. "Do not attack etc." but then I woke up and smelt the coffee. There are idiots out there and if they annoy you then become a better idiot and annoy them back! 
(Of course, you're the one who isn't the idiot as they shouldn't have annoyed you in the first place )But when you do defeat them everytime you approach them or they approach you... they leave you alone then thus allowing you to farm in peace.
But seriously, Recluse's Victory is a PvP zone and the turrets/anchors/pillboxes are there for the game to be played and see which side can win. They are not to be farmed allowing which ever side captures them the quickest to reset the zone. It defeats the entire purpose of the zone! I have never once entered RV and played the game where it is actually Heroes VS Villains to see who can capture the most pillboxes and/or take the most pillboxes from the opposing side! 
I enter and it is followed by "Oh. There are more Heroes. Let them take the pillboxes and reset the zone". So then I act and take the pillbox just to annoy them. But am I really annoying them? No I am playing the game RV was meant for. The whole concept of the zone isn't for farming. And when poeple do say they are farming it annoys me, but then again I make the odd exception depending on how nice they ask and if I know them.

I don' t think it's just a case of whether people personally bother you or not. Do I care what these people think? No. Do I care what they say? On a personal level most of it doesn't bother me, I'm quite hard to offend, although sometimes the sheer volume gets a little wearing and it does render any in character conversations quite hard. However I do think it has a massive negative impact on the game and there are certain lines that shouldn't be crossed and frequently are.
In more "persistant" online games you have a certain level to which you have to answer for your actions and the actions of those you associate with - CoH doesn't have this. It also has one of the lowest standards of behaviour overall I've ever seen in a game, and I play, in addition to MMOs, a variety of FPS and flight sim games. I have to put this down to a combination of idiot plus anonymity of the internet plus the knowledge there will probably be no come back.
Killing them is not a deterrant, although it's entertaining obviously, that's generally what seems to generate abuse in the first place.

When you ask the person in question on broadcast what happened to his old account he goes very quiet and leaves, one would presume hes trying to avoid a "paper trail" linking current behavior to the past.

You get an e mail saying this is whats happening ie, warning etc, and if ya not happy 72 hours to respond.
That was the result of my last in game argument anyway.However that was 15 ish months ago things may have changed.
