Roll one of each and in a couple of days yo can decide which one you like best and delete the other two. You will keep all three

One thing worth seriously considering if you go for Claws/Sr is getting Aid Self from the Medicine pool. Both Dm/Sr and Claw/Inv have self heals of one form or another whereas Claw/Sr has none. With Soloing, self sufficiency is paramount and the ability to heal yourself when you have no Healing Insps is an important part of this.

Flitz was my first toon and is my only 50 to date. MA/SR with Flurry from the speed pool and TP as travel power. Borked maybe, but fun all the way and still plenty of fight left in him. And yes, you want all the /SR powers !

UNION @Flitz 50, Lead Hose 50, Red Rag 50
DEFIANT Rose Bloodthorn 34
VIGILANCE Captain Caledonia 20 - Yeah, I made toons on the French server coz we only had 4 back then (might have to transfer/recreate them on one of the US servers)
..and many more!

However if you take the DM route, you won't need all the powers. Replace Confront/taunt/whatever-it's-called with Air Superiority and you'll rock!

Yup, if you choose Fly for your travel power then Air Superiority is the perfect forerunner to get. Probably the best attack in the travel power pools. (just don't tell the devs )

Sorry I don't quite understand this, do you mean if he takes DM he doesn't need all the /SR powers?

I assume he means that you don't need all of the DM powers.

Probably a bit of both. With all the -Acc effects from DM you can probably drop Dodge. For PvE Confront isn't a must have so dropping that in favour of a pool power isn't a problem either.

True, although I'd probably prefer to keep Dodge for the scaling resistance buffs.

Same here, although it remains a possible option.

That's very true and it's an excellent damage mitigator, besides Hover has the inconvenience that, although it provides a nice defense (always good in an /SR) you can't get in Melee range using Tab-Follow if hovering.
Besides, if you are going for claws, the redrawing is so fast that you won't even notice it.

The easiest pick up set is regen. The best reason for this is you dont need to rush to get stamina as soon as you can, early on, leaving you free to take some more 'fun' powers.

Very good point Nightmarer. I deleted my BS/Regen scrapper only left with MA/Regen till last nite. I rolled a DM/Regen last nite before i hit the bad and it looks really cool. But in the end fun is the biggest factor in scrappers. I still keeping my MA/Regen Scrapper because playing with it is fun (combining MA attacks with Jump Kick is a wonderfull sight to see. I can hit again the villians before they hit the floor sometimes). He is my relaxing toon nowadays. Without teams' strain on me, running free kicking every bad guy around. Only downside is running mobs. Maybe i get confront or provoke for this.

Crippling Axe Kick has an immobilise effect so hit them once and they'll generally stop running (or be slowed if the immob doesn't take). MA/ is a very fun set to play - I never get tired of watching the attacks firing off (mmmmmm, Eagle's Claw... *drool*).
