I have the same problem mine is stuck between 12k/s and 45k/s

I also tried executing the updater with the -port line command, but when i do so, nothing happens and it doesnt even checks for files i already have, with speed stuck at 0b/s

So does any body know what to do i have the same problem...
I download the EU version play once then it doesn't have the 'updater.EU.exe' just 'updater.exe' then if I start to play again it tries to download the US version..I'm on the free trial but Pfffff the game looks good but i've run out of patience..I've downloaded and uninstalled twice now what can i do please....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

You can rename the file as GG suggests, or you can click the link in the original post of this thread to download the correct client; it's a very small download.

Im having some major problems with the Eu client im downloading the eu client but when its downloaded i can play untill i exit it, when i exit the game it loads up the US client and the EU client isnt in the game folder so i cant change the shortcut as you have all done because the file isnt present, ive downloaded the EU client 3 times and the problem still occurs any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks for all the info, glad I decided to check here and not just give up due to the US game client (not that I knew that was the problem of course.)

My query is regarding the EU dowloader, have clicked on it now and it said it was downloading a 16.9mb patch, which it did, then continued to dowload, and it says fixing files. As there is no file size for this, I have to wonder, does anyone know how long this process takes? I am also midly concerned as it seems to have been stuck fixing piggs/geom.pigg for about 40mins so far.

its been a few months since the last post in this thread and the link in the OP wont work for me, searching google doesn't help either.

You can obtain the installer files for the EU client from here:

ftp://client.coh.com/EU/

If your browser does not connect, try using a FTP client.

Didn't work for me - it is saying that password and username are invalid. Bah! Will have to wait for tech support - first messaged them about this on Thursday and still can't play. It went to US first - should be clearer? Not good.

Hey i've followed the steps in this guide, but it seems like i'm waiting another 9 hours to download the eu client again? i thought i already had the client and this would be quick and/or painlessly fast?

Same proplem as everyone else it seems.

Paid for and down loaded the game, played it once and now every time i try to play it tells me I have another 13 hours or so of download time.

I have little to NIL knowledge of computers. I know I am running on Vista and my pc is a HP touch but thats about all I know.

Th e Updater when it opens has a pale blue background and as far as I can tell is the EU version.

I have tried to follow the details on the first post of this link with no luck.
I have contacted support but so far have recieved no reply.


Have I wasted my money? it certainly feel that way.

Can anyone help me please.

I wrote this guide a long time ago, before the NClauncher was even there.

Yesterday i started a fresh install on Windows 7 and so i made up the new 'way' to get it fully working with the NClauncher and using the right folders.

Next few days i write a new guide, so this one can be replaced.

Also, it indeed is FREAKING slow to update/download the game from the updater, yesterday was going 13kb/sec and 2.7GB remaining.

The thing in the guide still valid is the color of the updater, so you can see wich client you actualy have. The next guide will include some registry stuff since NClauncher and CoH updater are not really 'compatible' with eachother.

So for rabbitz, it all can be fixed but i need a bit of time to write a new solid guide (specialy for us EU peeps).

The launcher didn't had many problems with downloading for me and installing went also pretty smooth. For EU player you have to watch out that you have the europe zone activated in the launcher and not the NA.

For the rest it just installs the NA CoH client anyway, and then installs a customized launcher. Wished you could also choose in the launcher if you wanted CoV installed instead. Now I'm stuck with the blueish launcher instead of the red one.
