Melee Defender
To be honest, I think you will really have your work cut out for you with this build.
Any Defender will find a melee role challenging, but you're picked Force Field as your primary, which lends almost nothing to melee.
I would seriously consider Radiation Emission, Dark Miasma or Kinetics (especially Kinetics) for a primary instead.
Hehe to be honest if you want a melee toon why not just make a scrapper or tanker?

And I think there should be an AT with defender primaries and scrapper/tank attack sets. 'Twould pwn!

Personally, If you are dead set on this, I would go with getting weave as it would stack with dispersion bubble to give you a bit more protection (and then id get combat jumping and stealth and slot these out... god knows you will need all the personal protection you can get...)
A suggestion...
Get Sonic resonance instead. Stack this with tough and temp invun epic and you end up (by my count) with 78% resist vs smash / lethal... rather tasty actually.
Finally, my preferred choice for melleefender would be Rad primary... you can at least run choking cloud for some melee protection (as well as debuffing 'em)
Thanks for your comments friends. As i said it is a fun build, as in do what everybody say don't.
But honestly i tried to do a limited hero. The concept in mind is a weak hero. Who can only make force fields and become invisible. So i decided to don't take any secondary powers, other than his fists and kick he dont have any hurting powers. Maybe you noticed my posts about Knightly Defender about being weak, this one will be weaker. Sure it will be a team player, his attacks only for defending himself. Hmm kinda RP hero i guess.
Answer for your "Why Force Fields?" questions is simple, because i love Susan Richards, a.k.a Invisible Woman. If i choose Radiation or Sonic they have beautifull secondaries to complete them, i prefer to play them that way (My Rad/Son character is really good, i love to play with him). If i choose Empathy it wont make too much difference because many Empaths ignores their secondary and become a walking hospital. FF doesn't have any unique secondary.
I will make this character as soon as we from another group in SG to adventure regulary and let you know if i continue this or switch to TA/Archery which is another defender set i wanna try.
And Cognito thanks for advices when i try this out i will keep them in mind. I heard Jump Kick have a great animation so Leaping pool suits me fine too.

I forgot to ask something. Does this build need Stamina? If it doesn't need i can switch it to something more usefull like Medicine or Leadership for teams benefit.

I found my original Kin/Elec defender build was quite melee-ish with Short Circuit, Air Sup & the Vet reward attack. And no stamina so you have to stay close to benefit from transfusion and transference as well as to buff your teamies with Siphon Power & Fulcrum.
You get mezzed a bit but sure thats part of the fun

Isn't defender resistance capped at 75%?

Why not try an Illusion/FF controller then? You get Superior invis that way.
Or play her evil twin with an NRG/NRG stalker.

I don't really see the point of playing a squishy character in mele just for the sake of playing it in mele. I have two servers full of characters plus a couple of extras, all of them are squishy, a fair few of them are played in mele to varying degrees, but, it is always for a reason. The reason being that there are advantages to playing them in mele, and I have worked round surviving the disadvantages.
A few pool power attacks on a set combination which is definitely not geared towards mele in any way, wont really work. Sure, if you want to make a concept character there's no reason not to go for it, the game is for fun, you should make whatever character is fun for you. But there's also little advice that anyone here can give you, because the practical advice from a build point of view is, quite clearly, don't do it.
Oh i think i have to point a thing. The real reason for making a melee bubbler is not making a melee bubbler, making a bubbler with no secondary, only melee attacks that will show his martial arts training. I know with one hit from a white you are faceplanted.
I was thinking about more comic book like character, so i will get any travel power out of it too. But after some thinking i think this will not work, kinda boring. But anytime my friends start new characters i can change my mind.
Yep, another crazy idea of mine. I want to make a melee defender; actually a melee FF defender for some time. His only powers will be fields and invisibility (heh soooo Susanish ). Here's a build. This won't be a serious hero only for my own fun.
I thought about getting Flight for travel power and of course Air Superiority but i think Flurry and SS will be better choice because of Hasten.
