Hi, been playing for a fair while now but have never rolled a blaster. I have decided to change this and have my mind set on a elec/elec. I have had a play with hero planner and have come up on the following build. All I ask is can anyone see any major flaws with this build, or let me know if i have picked a silly power. I would like to do major end drain over damage and have slotted it how I think it would best benifit me.

i've just made an elec/elec alt too, i was thinking along the same lines as you do, but i would start earlier with the fitness pool and i would slot more for damage rather than end drain! but it does look like a good build!

the end drain on your blasts are fairly low and I wouldnt recommend slotting it for end drain. Your primary powers to drain their end will be tesla cage, powersink, shortcircuit, voltaic sentinel and even electric fence. Little note on volt sentinel, while it is not very useful at draining per se, it is useful to stop your enemy from regaining end while you still spam end drainers on him. Therefore, judging by these I'd say you need to adjust your slotting.

a) more slots on tesla cage, pop in some recharge reducers there
b) slot powersink 3 rech, 3 endmod, you want it up as much as possible. Also with this slotting you can forego stamina if you want to.
c) lose the endmod slots in thunderous blast. The end drain is already massive as it is and I think you benefit more from it being up often and dealing max damage. I got it 3 dam 3 rech myself, and let bu/aim take care of the tohit.
d) 3 recharges in buildup..
e) maybe if you can manage slotwise, have shortcircuit be 3 rech, 3 endmod. Basically 3 endmodded SC + 3 endmodded powersink is enough to drain a complete group of all their end.

Also I take it this is a PvE build? if you want to PvP you need more accuracy in your attacks.

I have an Elec/Elec/Elec Blaster at 50 (check sig) and I have to say it is a late bloomer, however if you stick with it it can be very good in teams - just ask my team last night >.<

Anyhow, this is essentially my build - was respeced for PvP as such but I dont use him as much as Id like.

There are only 2 main powers worth endmodding and thats short circuit and powersink of which they have already been stated. Being as your just starting you need to level up as you go finding out what your needs are.
My Elec/Elec blows thru end like nobodies business pre20 but i know that 3 dam slots is immediately good dam per end with aim and build up making that even better, i need acc to be comfortable and even add end slots on attacks that would normally change to rechg later due to powersink.

If i had your concept and was inclined to take your powers at the time you have chosen Id initially plan like this and slot it with what i feel like when i felt it necessary:

My own plan has different powers selected. This is just how Id slot your build. However as i say when it comes to putting what slot in at what level would be down to how you felt but usually i go 3 dam 1 acc 1 end till 15 then go 1 acc 3 dam 1 end then about 30 getting the extra acc in when most tanks are getting confident to go do +4.

In Shannon's build I would remove all the EndRed in early powers (there's really no use, especially with Stamina 3-slotted) and maybe replace them with Recharge, to increase the attack rate.
If an there must be an EndRed, I would put it in Thunder Strike.
I play this way and I'm NEVER short of End, not even in the most critical situations.

If you get the Electrical Mastery pool, make sure you get Shocking Bolt and Charged Armor.

Sorry to zombify this thread but - WOW. Never new there were so many lvl 50 elec/elec blasters. I made one in my early days but deleted him as I was hugely disappointed in the damage I was dealing (obviously I missed the point with elec/elec)! Admittedly I only ran him to about lvl 15, but I then made an en/en blaster and all my expectations were fulfilled...

I've just rolled one of these.

Between Power Sink and Ball Lightening the AoE damage at lower levs is impressive.

Voltanic Sentinal's a no though right?
How about Telsa Cage or Shocking Grasp?

Long fights require extra attack chains to an endurance bar and when you get powersink you can resupply the endurance bar fast and so at that point would switch.

My opinion.

Voltanic Sentinal, I would say no for a blaster because it merely uses charged bolts every now and then and doesn't last long enough. Telas Cage on other hand I found a god send. Just zap em into the cage then power up a snipe and they are as good as gone. Shocking Grasp I'm not to sure on because I myself have never gotten but it looks reasonable.

One point many people seem to have forgotten about the Elec/Elec in this isn't just the -End drain capacity. It also has some excellent holds, Shocking Grasp, Tesla Cage and Shocking Bolt are all excellent holds and Electric Fence isn't a bad Immob either.

This means you can take apart small mobs piecemeal and pick them off at your leisure.

Voltaic Sentinel is also your friend, while doing this giving you some extra damage while you hold and sap. The only weakness I have really found with mine, is it's very tough to dent GMs and AVs easily and you'll need a good team for that.

What about Lightening Field?

For a PvE team toon?

I'm really not sure about VS...

Not too keen on holds/stuns etc...just damage...

GOD I NEED MORE SLOTS.

If you go for a melee drainer, its pretty nice addition to AoE damage, specialy if u have short ciruit/powersink slotted with 3endmod. Around a tanker it provides a nice PBAoE damage also.

The holds are part of the strength of elec and ice, they can solo hold bosses, wich is great in soloplay. Some combo's can even get close to hold a EB/AV solo.

My highest Blaster is an elec/elec, now at lvl 28. Agree with posts above that before lvl 20, endurance is a real pain. I'm very comfortable at soloing now (at lvl 28), and can take down mobs (10-15 foes) of -1 (blue enemies) within 10-15 seconds (approx). I turn on lightning field, drop build up, run into mob...unleash short circuit, then hit enemy in middle of mob, with ball lightning....which generally desimates the group, then pick off runners with ranged attacks.

The Elec/Elec Blaster is a great blapper after lvl 20.

I found end a bit of an issue, pre 20. But also got annoyed at "wasting" powers on hower/swift/health...

Didn't make me feel more powerful.

The 20s are fun (up to 22 now and IO'd everything to 25).

Still gonna be problematic to get everything I want.

Now I am wondering whether or not you followed any of the build suggestions in this post XD The build suggestion I had for the OP was with his power choices. Sometimes its not about being powerful its just all about concept.

Hey all i was wondering if i respec my lvl 33 elec/elec with frespec were gettin is it worth it to take the 2 holds for pvp,and pvp wise is it better to go jump,speed or more of a flight aproutch?
