Imo, best blasted blastering is the blasterer ice/fire...ok, it's truly the most fun i had and why i say so...and what i say is teh truth. Serious damage, serious fun. Elec/ice pwns squishies, but ice/fire is teh 1337.

Although Fire Breath is about twice the damage of Short Circuit, having 4 attacks that you can use as PBAoEs could be pretty neat ( FSC, Combustion, Lightning Ball and Short Circuit ). A Fire/Fire blaster would have to jump out to reposition for the Fire Breath. An Elec/Fire could just hold still.

Great of aoe's, but solo or low ammount of mobs its not much of use spamming nonstop PBaoe's. For blasting on little ammount mobs, i would rather pick the fire/fire. (stupid enough i took fire/ice, but oh well).

And Maxwell's Demon (Elec/Fire) does. He runs in, stands there and explodes. Repeatedly.
He takes some keeping alive though (I should know, I was his designated tanker for a good while) and never quite learned that lots of Nemesis Jaegers going boom all at once around him hurts. Although the same could be said of a certain elec/elec/elec PBAoE blaster of my acquaintance that I was trying to tank for at the same time...
So this all boils down to what you consider 'blasting'. Me, I consider it to be primarily ranged combat, but that's just me, and I'm a little odd in that the only melee power I have on my Blaster is Power Thrust. And that's only because I had it forced on me.

Yes, I was really comparing the differences between a Elec/Fire and a Fire/Fire. Both get Burn and Hot feet and even Blazing Aura. I guess once you have Hot Feet and Blazing Aura, perhaps the Elec outshines the Fire, because of the lack of hokey kokeying.
