Generic Hamidon raid title 7PM GMT 2ND of Feb
You are correct, it was part of the prizefund for said Ad.
....and thankyou Ebon, very nice of you.
I am very grateful to NCsoft for such a complementary title .
There are a few of us 'Yellow title's' around, I know of at least 2 others on Union.
But before you wish it on your main I should explain part of the deal you sign in blood is to spend a good fifty percent of your time explaining how you got it to.....

Forgive me if i decide to put an explanation on a bind

just posted in another thread about the little yellow badge names that ive seen 2 people with ( mothers love for one ) and was wondering...
1. how do you get them
2. can we get one's for Streekz for finding him in the raid mobs!
they stand out nicely, and thought it might be a handy addition to find people easier during the raids and ensuing lagfests!
[/ QUOTE ]1. Special Custom titles for winners of competitions and such (Mother's Love got it for the advert and the other guy for the Death Badger 2006)
2. No, only promotional stuff IRL.
Tyger (50), Mutation-Controller Mind/FF - oldest Mind/FF on Union
V-Rock will come along this time round .
@Moondog
Union:
CoH: Moondog (WS); V-Rock (Tnk, semi-retired); Pole-Star (Bla); Demon Dog (Scr).
CoV: Midnight Gunner (Corr); Operative John Doe (Ban); Day-Star (Dom); Commissar Jaeger (MM).
I will most likely use my new level 50, a mind/rad controller unless the PA drop team need more people.

could we have some more raids during the week ?
cuz for me, friday is a part of the weekend, and i'm usually going out during the weekends
How crucial is the raid costume if the service I would provide is groupfly for PA team? I mean I'd be out of most people's field of vision, so would another costume than raid costume contribute to the lag?
The costume I have in mind is "street clothes". Black boots, black pants, black shirt and black gloves. No aura, no cape.
No commitment either. No idea yet when I get zerglings to bed.
long as no cape and aura its fine for the PA team, hami cossie is still preferable though.
And as for raids during the week, i generally do friday as a more start the weekend thing, i do not however currently possess the determination to lead more than one raid a week, the other weekdays are difficult however, people generally have work or school the following day so raids need to start around mid evening. if i ever feel up to it ill give it a go
im coming this week!! im a fire/frie blaster
I may be a bit delayed due to RL - I trust Coldest War can get the team sorted? I'll try and get there asap.
seems i'm not going out, so i'm there with Battle Medic
and Hami bites the dust again !
thnx again for another boring raid
it seems we're getting the hang of it
That was quite fun, got a nice little damage/accuracy hammy-O and a few good screenies, can't wait for the next one!
I am the Blaster, I have filled the role of Tank, Controller and Defender
Sometimes all at once.
Union EU player! Pip pip, tally ho, top hats and tea etc etc
Aye other than the odd ones that caused issues.
Went rather smoothly.
My holding team even got to stand in for Hami-Tank healer for a while, heeeeee something new for them, and now they're wanting to make Pure Empaths for it. LoL
All in all.. good raid.. Hami went down a LOT faster this time.. nice work all.
Much safer than last week .

EU, Union mostly.
Smooth raid, much better numbers this week, caused a bit of lag but nothing we couldnt handle!

im sure there will be, also to those of you who werent listening and liekly dont read this either, your names have been recorded and i will take great pleasure in mentioning it frequently on broadcast if ya continue not to listen next time
Glad to see everything went ok, sorry i couldn't make it as promoised but RL events spiralled out of control.
I'm Glad to hear dispite lag and a little bit of organised chaos you still managed to take him down again.
No wonder It is reported Hamidon is changing tactics for Issue Nine!
I imagine he is getting a little tired of getting his gelatinous backside handed to him on a silver platter time and time again.
Apologies for slugging at Hami at that one point. For some reason that I don't know (likely explanation is a feck-up on my end of some sort) I lost the targeter as my target and just did not have the presence of mind to check it. Thus Hami had ended up as my target.
After that I kept losing the targeter frequently, sometimes after only two shots fired and not having touched anything but attact keys. Also relocating the target seemed to be an issue towards the end. On a few occasions I had to resort to finding the mito that had a dropping health bar and target that mito directly in order to keep dealing damage.
Did anyone else suffer from this or have a good explanation? I'd like to avoid these things tha next time.
Also sorry for no hami-cossie. I had intended to fly high above with PA team where a smooth costume was not such an important factor. Now there was no need for that so I ended up pulling ground duty with civilian wear on.
Another successful raid! here's to many more! at least until they change the system! heeh!

That can happen to anyone. As long as it's not intentional, I wouldn't hold it against you. Losing the targetter while reading broadcast banter made me attack Hamidon once or twice during last night's raid. To err is human and all that.

I has similar problems with losing the targetter at one point... infact prematurely throwing a single char at Hami as a result.... I don't think he or anybody else noticed
I actually noticed at one point I seemed to consistently lose target when Streekz was jumping (presumably with half a dozen IR's on him). I wonder if he's actually managing to jump out of target range?... anybody got thoughts

Thanks for organising another raid.
Targetting and staying in the healing blanket in general was pretty hard work last night (and often is).
If I could make a suggestion, it would be immensely helpful if whoever is targetting can stand as near to directly under the Mito we're attacking as possible, particularly on the high ones. Firstly, the distance to the target is shorter, more people can hit the target while still staying within the healing blanket with their regular ranged attacks. Secondly Kinetics can give Inertial Reduction to Scrappers and Tankers (and anyone else who can't quite reach for that matter) without leaving the healing blanket.
Cheers,
Wyx
[I have a suspicion that more and more people are getting controllers and rads in range and bringing them along, hence the clearing phase is becoming slower, and the holding phase is becoming a lot quicker and easier - I had 18 lots of AM running through large parts of the holding phase last night. I am tempted next time to use a Blaster or my Kin/Rad for the clearing stage and bring a controller on for the holding stage.]
There is a little something that helps my pc alot during the raid (never lost hami (well not more then a sec)) And that is restarting your pc just before the raid, cleans out the memory nicely . If that doesnt work, try turning ur char around slowly (helps for me).

They are special titles... usually given for winning some competition or event (for example, I believe Mothers Love got her special title for winning the design an ad competition).
I think that's the case anyway... oh and while I'm on the subject, I know it's pretty late, but congratulations Mummy on that ad... it was fantastic and I love the special title too
