I think a Christmas party is a great idea, but Plasmarch is right - Christmas day and close to it might be difficult as people do family stuff.

I'm a little dubious about running an RP event and an event that is not an RP event at the same chronospatial coordinates. I grant that firm santa presence would add to the atmosphere but as we all know, there are instances where rp/non-rp doesn't mesh without friction.
If an equally suitable date that does not coincide with another event in the same place is found, I'd be keen to support that.
On the other hand, hazards of IRL pending I'll be there regardless of the date.
I share your concerns so perhaps another date would be more appropriate. Monday the 18th anyone?

Xmas is coming and the goose is getting... nervous...
I anticipate there will probably be a Xmas party of some kind in the near future for players to meet up but I was curious to know whether anyone would care for a roleplayers Xmas party as well? A chance for our characters to put on their glad rags and party the night away in Pocket D.
I thought it might be a nice idea. I'd be curious to know what others think.
