Same old same old. Your right not to fight without insp. insps are part of the game. without insp theres no point in you having the fight you have already lost.
btw on a totally different topic. dont suppose you still have the S4 fight recordings still about. Mine were lost when my pc was reformated

Yeah, if he lists one demand, counter it by asking him for one of your demands. 
But really, no, inspirations are part of the game, they're useful in PvP and they're always your secret "wild cards" that your opponent doesn't know anything about!
tell him id be more than happy to fight him as my controller or tank against his controller with no insps on the test server if he wants

Stack the Stuns and hope he don't have mez protection, then drop him hard... sounds like foreplay.. but meh.. it means he can't hold you, then drop you first.
It's not that hard. I drew against a Grav Controller 6-6 without insps in a 10 minute arena match. It all depends on powers, not as much AT's when it comes to no insps.

Thing is, a Trollers holds are ranged, my stuns are melee.....he's gonna get me first and then that's all she wrote
with a BF I have a chance of getting out of it and possibly getting my hit in before he does....at least it gives me a chnce, which makes for a slightly more interesting ten minutes than letting him hold and kill me for all of it

In most cases you havent got a chance but there are afew select ATs and builds which do have a chance. I dont think you would have a chance in hell without them due to AT limitations.

Very true, my SR scrapper might have a chance as she has mez protection might get to the troller in time to attack them......but poor Coin would be faceplanted in seconds.....wow, just like the PVE then!
I just thought the insistence that battles are about the charatcers and their powers and not what "pills they can pop" was somewhat unfair, especially when they called me scared for wanting to use them.
I still think it's fair to use them, they can use them to overcome my advantages, for instance, lots of purples and oranges to prevent me hitting them!

People complain because they don't think they can negate Inspirations. I can happily stack over Break Frees with my controller, it's not really an issue as long as you know what your'e doing so there's no problem, it just evens the playing field a bit.

I have to agree with all the people who said the troller is a plonker. Troller man, you are a plonker. It can be fun to try some duels without insps, although any battle you expec to take seriously should be. imo at least, fought within the rated system. Tac start, all insps and arena temps allowed at the highest category you both fit into/agree to.
OMG MY LVL 12 BLASTER PWNS UR 50!!! That would be because at lvl 12 I have nothing like the effectiveness of DOs, although the 20 insps I can carry give me some edge. Ranting now sorry.
Anyways, I think some fights can be fun without insps, but troller vs squishy blaster with no ranged mez = joke.
Coin, give yourself more credit, I'm sure you can beat some trollers and not others, just like the rest of 'us blasters', 'cos someone calls you scared usually means that they are either trashtalking you or actually scared themselves, if the latter is true they are a freaking n00b, as any half decent PvP controller should beat an energy/energy blaster every time without fail.
4 minutes of BFs I hear you say, 6 minutes of irrepayable death : /

.....I mean, the fact that there's only been one thread that I can find about this in at least 6 months and that was nearly a month and a half ago is probably irelevant....
....as is the fact that the same subjects come up on these boards all the time and people still discuss them as there are new people reading the boards....

Now, now Coin let's not get nasty.
After all, you are clearly at fault here for bringing up a very relevant topic for discussion(that many people still see being worthy of discussion going by the number of responses) and not having the tens of thouands of topics on this board etched into a photographic memory so you can instantly recall this has already been discussed
(FWIW, there has only been one other thread in the last 6 months I can recall that was about insp use in PvP and that was general use, not arena use. One repeated thread in 6 months is nothing for anyone to jump down your throat about so just ignore it)
Back to the OP.
If a troller is that insistent on having a 'non insp' match, I'd probably agree to it anyway. Purely for the reason that if he sees your ability to use BF's as 'loss' button for him, he can't be that good a troller and chances are you can still give him a run for his money. What I would do though is give him an insp fight first then one without and add up the total kills from both matches to decide the winner.
I've had my integration running scrapper with a full tray of BF's completely torn apart in a 10 minute arena match by a troller. The holds were stacking so fast that i'd barely popped a BF when it was overriden by the next one so any troller worth his salt in the arena shouldn't be bothered by BF use.
All they need to do is hit holds early on while being patient and avoiding dying as they slowly exhaust your BF's before racking up kills in the last few minutes.
Ok, so someone I know challenged me to a fight in the arena on his Troller, me on my Blaster....
Fine I thought, i enjoy PvP in the arena, even though I usually lose and I generally suck, but it can still be fun anyway and I;ve got better recently with a better build as well.
Anyway, he then came up with his trump card, he will only fight if there's no inspirations allowed......which I said "not a chance!!"
he then proceeded to call me "scared" to fight him without them, which I though somewhat harsh and unfair!
See, to me, insps are a blooming necessity, i get owned most of the time anyway, especially by trollers and without insps it's a forgone conclusion...Ill get held all the time, killed quickly and then lather, rinse repeat
Am I the only one who thinks this way though, or am i wrong in thinking like that?
I'd appreciate the opinion of the more experienced PvP players here.
