And cheers for Bridger to finally getting it done. At least I well know how it is to have some silly thing that keeps dragging and it cant be finished and how on earth isn't it done yet, and it's just...arrggh. And now it's done, yay!

I can't, as I'm in work atm, but I have used the notify moderator button to draw attention to my post in the other thread.
Looks like all references to Outcasts' Girlfriend have been taken down from the forums and site.
Personally, I think there may be some sort of infringement issue here, which NCSoft probably want to resolve, but Blind did do a lot to the original picture to make it resemble OG in the first place.

I think, guys, that perhaps it best we not discuss this on the boards and let Bridger deal with it. Speculation can only cause upset in this case I think...

I respectfully disagree 100% Cap.
I've had the exact same happen to me (a couple of time actually): I've been a victim of artwork & copyright theft myself - someone tried to pass artwork I had spent time and effort on for a website off as their own work. It was getting close to the point where solicitors were going to be involved before they relented.
yes, but she might have overlooked that people might not realise it was a photo shop, a big oversight, but i've made bigger.

Just to clarify the situation, this is the problem.
Had it been made clear that the image was a retouched version of another work, things might be different (although it's likely that the work would need to have been used with permission).
As it is, I'm afraid I've had no choice but to disqualify the Outcast Girlfriend.
I will be making a new sticky and adjusting the existing ones to make the situation regarding original work and the Creative Genius competition clearer.
Okay, guys, I think that all we had here was an unfortunate misunderstanding, and I don't think anyone involved has done anything 'wrong'.
The rules and guidelines for the Creative Genius competition - and the Creative board in general - will be updated and expanded in the near future, in order to avoid any potential problems of a similar nature.
If anyone wishes to discuss this matter further with me, please do so via email. I don't see any benefit in further discussions here.
