Stone//Stone??
All of its good depending on your level and your objectives at that level. Different builds that people could suggest could all be good depending on your playstyle and mindset. Just dont waste slots.

He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. Judging by all the Stone Tanks I've seen, it seems that Jump Kick is the most awesome power EVER!! It's strange really, because I've always found it [censored], apart from the amusing animation.

I was talking about the stone primary and the stone secondary sets to clarify. Just because you have a stone doesnt mean you should be running out and getting jump kick because other people do and what makes people bother with that power as a stone tanker i will never know.

For Stone Armour powers you will definately want are:
Earths Embrace, Mudpots, Rooted and Granite Armour
Earths Embrace is a click power that enhances your HP by 40% while active and also heals you when you activate it. Six slot this with 6 recharge at DO's and 3 Recharge, 3 Heal at SO's.
Mudpots is your taunt aura, it also does damge and slow which is useful you will want to 6 slot it with a mix of Acc, Taunt, End and Damage Enhances.
Rooted is your Mez Protection it also gives a regen rate boost. With rooted on you cant jump or fly and are slowed down as a result most stone tanks pick teleport as their travel power and use swift from the fitness pool to boost movement speed. 3 slot this with 3 heal enhances.
Granit is your uber armour you will want to 6 slot it. Best slotting is 3 def, 3 dam res. You will be slowed even more while using this armour though and it does have a -Dam and -recharge component.
All other powers in your primary are your other armours. With the exception of stone skin they cannot be used with granit but you will need them until you get grantie and possibly after granit dependednt on enemies.
From stone melee the powers that will aid your aggro grabbing which is what you will want to be doing are Taunt, Fault and Tremour.
Pool Powers: Swift from fitness is needed and you8 will probably want stamina as well. Dont pick hurdle as you cant jump with mez protection on. Hasten is very useful as you do have a big -recharge penalty in granite. Teleport is prabably your best bet for a travel power as you can use it to navigate about in rooted, with out it you will have to turn rooted off to jump over things.
Hope that helps.
I have lvl'd a stone brute to 50, and my stone tank's 24 so far, from what I can tell is that you will nee the following:-
Stone Skin 3slotted with Res, but not till later on, as you can respec this in at lvl 32
In the beginning your a def tank, work to this
Earths Embrace, mud pots, rooted and rock armour are your friends before lvl 32.
Take taunt as early as possiblt, ie lvl 10, other player remember you ahve it and invite you more.
Just a few observations.
Have fun

I really don't get why people want that power on a stone tank, the animation is slow and the damage is not worth noting when in GA. (I don't have Jump kick and will never get it )
Dr_E_Genius is right about the choice of travel power, self TP is the way to go. Then you can blitz around in full granite/rooted/mud potts. If you wanna jump over things you have to drop granite and rooted, you won't be able to jump wearing either.
Feel free to send a tell if you have any questions
as we have a few experienced stone tank/brutes here i want to know whether it is worth me making one as im a big pvper and so is dave (dark light) and we will definately be hitting all the pvp zones relatively early on though im not expecting to be any good untill lvl 32/38 and i take granite
Haven't really done much PvP with my stone tank, other than badge collecting. I'd imagine he could knock some of them down, but your fighting with -damage and -recharge in GA. One thing is awesome though, you are the toughest charater in the zone. A few days back I was bashing a villain owned pillbox in RV, when I get jumped by a small group of villains. 2 brutes, 1 robotic MM, a villain heavy, the villain pillbox and a stalker. They could not move my health bar. Unfortunately a second stalker showed up and I had to tp away. Was great fun to hear them complain though.
i've done some PvP with my stoney, and its really not that bad, its all in what powers you take and how you slot them as for any other build.
stone meele might not be "über" in PvP due to it being a very resisted damagetype (all smashing) but i reckon itll work just fine
after 33 when you've gotten some slots into granite youll be enjoying PvP alot more due to surviving ALOT!
i take my stoney to RV every now and unless there is a dominator around i'm pretty much safe
as for what powers to pick and when to pick them thats up to the player making it, some want offensive tanks, some want defensive only, some want scrankers just lay out a "build" as an
overview of the powers you plan to take and then you can always change the order as you go along, and slotting is really hard to say just like this due to ppl having different playstyles so slot as you go along
@EU Brimmy - Union and Exalted servers
