Best Secondary?
Pretty hard one really. But my favourite has to be regeneration simply because of the...well...regeneration. You get reconstruction which is very useful and dull pain which is like a second life for you. Plus MoG and a self rez. And how could we forget integration and instant healing?
all different all have benefits, there is no best its all down to what suits you

I prefer secondaries that give you defence, with a stalker your hide and AS can be interrupted if you get hit. Having a decent defence pool allows you to pretty much hide and placate in full view without worrying about interrupt.
Regen has no innate defense so suffers from interrupts a lot more.
I'd suggest Ninjitsu as it has great defence and some nice tools.
Well, I have a lvl 33 Ninj/Regen to 33 and I'm not too keen on him. Some people swear by Regen Stalkers, but I just find that they don't really have enough health to be able to regen, ie, it's a lot more difficult than regen.
Personally, I don't think DA is very good either, as it's Resistance, and again like regen, it won't really make that much of a difference with resistance if you have very low health. (of course it will still help). And, it has many AoE shields, which I think will all get you aggro. Aggro bad.
Now, after experience, for Stalkers I would say Defence is best, especially for Ninjablade. Ninjablade has a power called Divine Avalanche- which can greatly boost your defence. This will stack with you toggles, making you very hard to hit, Pv/Bi.
SR has some very cool powers, like Quickness, and has KB resistance; something Ninjitsu doesn't. However, Ninjitsu does have the self heal, which can be very handy at times. I don't really know much about energy, except for the fact it has high En Resitance and Defence, and it works on types of damage (eg Smash Lethal) instead of Melee/Ranged damage- which is what Ninjitsu and SR use.
your probably the regen stalker i've seen running around without dullpain and instant heal lol j/k
But seriously regens good what with PVP the way it is atm 30% defence dosn't mean a thing when most of the heroes are 2 slotted with acc and running FA and tactics.
I think its time to look at other builds.

I have a lvl 28 EM/EA, and the basic def of 16.5 from your shield against S/L is quite nice, with slotting, combat jumpig and your hide you can reduce even level mobs to a 1 in 5 chance of hitting you ie around 30% Def in total, not too shabby really plus you get a cool end drain power, and conserve power which means no stamina needed, so you can choose the PvP route then of Stealth and Grant Invis, or the PvE route of Aid Other or Stimulant and Aid Self, whatever you fance. It's allowed me to take All of my primarys except stun, so nice attack chain so in groups you can't half dish it out also.
I went with Energy Aura and I really couldn't recommend it (typed defence is bad, mkay?) unless you're trying to go Stamina-less (like I did - fortunately I'm teamed with a /kin 99% of the time) or want the extra status protection (and all on one lovely toggle) for PvP. Psi and Toxic damage just cuts right through me, and quite frankly I don't even find my defence that noticeable for other damage types either.
If I was doing a PvE-orientated stalker anew I'd probably go Ninjitsu instead (in fact I've made an MA/Ninjitsu, but doubt I'll get to play him anytime soon) - that's because for just a couple of toggles you get close to the defence protection of Super Reflexes (both are positional, not typed, so you're protected against psionic/toxic too), for a lot less power picks, and you also get a self-heal like /Regen's reconstruction, plus a few control options too. /DA is great for a brute, but I'm not convinced resists and aggro-drawing AEs are the way to go for a low HP stalker.
The one thing I miss on my /EA Stalker is not having a self-heal - there are lots of situations where it would have saved my life. Of course you could probably go /regen and just take the status toggle and the 3 click-heals (recon, dp, ih) - that would probably work well for PvE/PvP.

but PvP is pretty grossly imbalance in favour of heroes anyway.. tried PvP with my stalker and really didn't like it much.
Heroes epic powers way outclass the PPP and the sheer volume of heroes vs fewer villains makes pvp a pretty dull experience anyway. Maybe 1 on 1 a regen stalker would have fun but this never happens... its always 3 or 4 on 1 and you'll get too much damage too fast to be able to compete. Put that together with the fact that regen heroes get stamina boost and stalkers don't pretty much guaranteeing they'll win in the long run.

Think you need to read the power's info again.

Yeah but your talking solo stalkers, most of the heroes like to run in little gank squads of 4-5 especialy the spine scrappers so solo stalkers don't have much of a chance unless your really quick on your feet.
Regen is good against spineys tho but i'd suggest joining or making a team in pvp zones if your playing a stalker.
But back OT i suggest the OP goes either ninjitsu or SR with ninjablade as those sets go well together.

A stalker snipe, a stalker pet both consiverd weaker then Heroes Epics? Take a regen scrapper and let him face 4-5 villains he will post the exact same stuff you just posted.
Heroes had a headstart, its up to the villains to catch up.

to be fair regen stalkers arent as good as regen scrappers, i know this from playing both alot but they are still useful.
You get integration which is amazing and 3 other panic buttons in reconstruction, instant healing and dull pain.
I do agree with chi though about the ninja blade power, very handy.
for ninja blade SR all the way...divine avalanche will help you a LOT with it..still..thats only in pve and duels really...your not gonna stand still between 5 heroes to DA twice first after all...just don't go ninjutsu..its a nice goodie set but won't safe your life...got a regen stalker now and since SO's she's pretty good...so SR and regen are the sets you might wanna try..
Before recently I would've said anything but regen, but I've seen really good regen builds lately and I'm beginning to think that's still awesome.
I disagree that Divilanche goes best with SR. Once you stack two DI on /nin you're practically unhittable anyway, but /nin gets an amazing self heal which I think puts it ahead of SR, especially in RV.

''your not gonna stand still between 5 heroes to DA twice first after all''
