It does much more damage than ice storm. In many ways it is the best corruptor nuke: its ranged, has some nasty secondary effects (-acc, slows, knockdown, -recharge) and the damage over team means it scourges like normal attacks 
I would take it slot it 3 damage 2 slows and a recharge if you still dont like it then respec it out

Blizzard is great, you can wipe out a group of orange cons easily if you 3 slot it for dmg
Just EF/LR the mobs, stand in there with choking cloud on, and slap Ice Storm + Blizzard, then count the bodies, the exp and the infamy

i have tested the blizzard power, and i would suggest take it, slot it, and luv it... I would go for 3dmg/3slows, since u gonna use it only in the final bosses, and u will pop up Aim always b4 (that is a +42%-60% to hit buff, so it will hit almost always)
I got Ice Storm, and i got it 3 slotted for slows, so i use it like a patch, just like some /darks use Tar patch. I just pop up aim, then IS, and finally Blizzard... all this proccess could last like 3-4 secs if u have the powers binded (i recommend bind AIM to lalt, then IS to lalt+lbutton, then blizzard lctrl+lbutton), much more time if u have to select all of them each time... The sense in binding the storms with lbutton is that the click u do with the activation is used for placing the storm (u remember the white target blinking??), so u will earn time activating the combo...
The best thing (in PvE) from blizzard is, IMO, the knockdown it has, makin the enemies stay down the blizzard more time. Since, as max said, it is ranged, u could do all of this out of LoS (line of sight), so u will be more safety than any other corr... cheap, isnt it???
Of course, my secondary is /kin, so i think i would respecc this combo 1 day (coz i always need the end, and the downtime it has is a bit killer for me), but if u can pick both storms, u could do the ice/dark combo with the ice/ set only, and that is much dmg and fun

I wouldnt agree that you would only use the power at the end vs bosses ( at the level of mishes I play every spawn of mobs has a boss in) to keep it till the end is a waste IMO. Never open with it if you can help it but with storm aim and then this ...ahhh goodness all round. It helps the speed of the team immensely when I use this and you can duck behind a corner to rest or pop a CaB if needed to carry on. In order for a final tier power to be truly everyday useful it needs to be used often not just once a mish.

[/ QUOTE ]Only using the nuke for final spawn is a waste, I'd recommend 3 dam 3 rech, and using it on the next spawn everytime it comes up.
You're Ice/Kin defuser, same as me. This is the way i use Blizzard (3 slot damage, 3 slot recharge), drop a couple of purples (lucks), hit aim, run into middle of mob and hit a Fulcrum shift (thank god for buffable blizzard now), drop the Blizzard right on top. Will destroy everything but purple bosses in my experence. On a normal mish in a big team i'd use this tactic on atleast 3-4 mobs, ie whenever it recharges.
If you don't have the lucks to drop just let a MM or brute go in first to take the aggro, but i personnaly always stock up on lucks before a mish. This running into mob is only needed to get the full effect of the FS, so if your not a kin then stand back in safety.
Definetley take it for PvE, but for PvP I wouldn't. You have your regular storm and attacks for slows, and the -end is a big no no.

lol you call blizzard a nuke. takes like 20 secs before it kills everything. in that time someone could kill you and the blizzard would be gone. Personally i think it sucks for blasters, don't know if its good for corruptors. Scourge thing is nice though.
20 seconds for blizzard? it's only a 10 second animation not to mention the fact you can use it out of line of sight (ie around corners), and i'd deffinatly call it a nuke because of the massive damage it can do just like a good nova. I have a lvl 50 eng/eng blaster and had nova before the big nerf and i LOVED it but i love blizzard more now. Yes it might not look as impressive, but it is very effective at getting the job done.

Blizzard also has the Knockdown and ToHit DeBuff going for it. So it's actually bloody unlikely to get killed after firing it, especially since you don't have to run in the middle of the mob to do it. (Ok, you do, if you're a Kinetic, but then again, who cares, since they're already dead by the time you've finished reading this sentence.)

I have to say I started an Ice/Kin on release purely because of the buffing changes that were promised.
I tend to use it whenever 2 or more mobs have spawned close enough to each other.
Or when I need to thin all the mobs from around a ballista.
(note: run away the second you can).
Of course, as a /kin, all I have to do is make sure I have a blue handy and I can use it whenever...

Yup, still sucks for a Blaster. Might be good on a Kin Corruptor though. Fulcrum Shift+Blizzard+Scourge...not bad. Still not nearly as good as Inferno for example though.
I have both and prefer Blizzard.
Extra use: use it on freakshow if (if its been buffed enough) you might get them twice

Is Blizzard worth taking, doesn't really seem that much different from Ice Storm except that it has some nasty side effects. (disorientation and no endurance)
