That's not really a problem, is it?
The stealth supression doesn't bring grant invis back up after it has been knocked off. But take a situation with two stalkers, both having it. Each boosts the other, they attack, retreat to safety, re-apply, repeat. Have it on my Mastermind, use it to +stealth my team's stalkers as they exit the hospital while I'm re-summoning pets. It's really a nice power to have and helps other people a lot.
The problem with Villains is that they don't want to co-operate when doing PvP, going the Solo Stalker Way

Nobody is forcing him anything, he's asking if its worth taking and people are giving him their opinions. Does stealth help? yeah it sure does especially against people with +perception. Inevitably he'll do better in PvP if he isn't seen, the challenge is still there, stealth doesn't mean he's going to be uber and own everything in the PvP zones. It will however make his life a lot easier. Stealth doesn't equal god mode, nothing does.

Well im not taking it at sirens call my decision made (( no hassle there )) but probs take it at lvl 35, for warburg, instead of blinding powder.
-sigh- People still think you NEED stealth...It's not needed. I don't use it on either of my lvl 40+ Stalkers, nor have I ever used it, and my EM/Nin Stalker had a rep of 230+ before I took a break from the game.
So no, stealth isnt NEEDED. Quite frankly if you do NEED it, then you're a bad stalker, and should really try another AT. Does it help? Ho yes it helps, a LOT, but it's not NEEDED no way no how.

Not true at all!
The best stalkers I know for PvP are actually the ones that rarely, if ever, bother with AS. Maybe in BB they can kill at will and even in Sirens they can pick off the less experienced pleyers for easy rep but once you start heading to Warburg and RV, that's where the truley skilled stalkers show their worth.
It often amuses me when you see stalkers racking up kills in Sirens and boasting how good they are at PvP then heading to the higher zones and crying about how badly they've been nerfed.
AS has long activation and is interruptable, making it pretty easy to counter if that is the players only tactic. The damage of criticals from hide followed up by placate though are another kettle of fish altogether and skilled players can still rack up stupid kills using these.
Just take a look at Max Powerz stalker, Gutts, in 3vP. Most of the people there have 'anti-AS' powers worked into their build but it still didn't stop him out killing nearly everyone in in his matches.
it is very rare i us AS in pvp any move or in pve.... i have 3 slotted hide an will not be takein stealth ,if heroes do see me no biggy im not that easy to kill
How does 3slotted hide help? raise defence? harder to see?
It raises defense, but not by much, it's worthless slotting hide.
Unslotted Hide has 37.5% AoE Defense.
3-Slotted Hide has 59% AoE Defense.
That can make a big difference when going against some builds.

It also provides the only significant defense available to /regen stalkers, and makes a real difference in PvE, especially fighting high level longbow.
The AOE defence is useful for dealing with foes with damage auras, allowing you to AS between ticks.
Well im looking into slotting kuji rin first. so i can have as much RES as i can. But cant decide if to slott my hide 
i wouldn't necessarily prioritise it, but there are usually a couple of slots to be found during the 30s for putting into powers like hide.
For ninjitsu, which uses mainly positional defence, the additional slots in hide are well worth it.
