Well sorry to miss this might have been fun but was watching World Cup as I have been everyday and every match.
Yeah, most of us got 'em all in the end... Scirocco turned out to be the main challenge, since he was hard to spawn - and then some jerk hacker went and too kanother pillbox, so we had to defeat him with a 5-minute counter ticking down to his disapperance, AND GW+Cap Mako running around killing people. Damn sight too close, but we made it.
Just a FYI: I had just over half a million debt when we finally finished. Exhalted, here I come... 
Oh, and y'know... Black Scorpion and Lord Recluse must be REAL happy we're done - those two sure got beat up a lot of times. :P
WOW! It was way fun. Didn't get all the badges, but hey...makes me go there more often.
420k debt... Something to do with my 50.
Anyway, it looked real fun and the share number of 40+ was nice. Faceplant FTW. Once more this week, Kin?

Might do it for villians in a week or 2, but only cus I need badges, never doing it "out of kindness" 
I enjoyed it too, was great fun. Did get a little annoyed by certain peoples stubborn attitude and unfair play, but I got all the badges after 3 hours of trying, so am happy now.
You did a good job amongst all the difficulties Kin - except for your rushed typing

Would have been nice for some people to listen to pretty rudimentary instructions and work together, but hey, it went ok.

Was a lot of fun (even the countdown on Scirocco at the end - it had me looking at the icon for Lingering Rad and shouting "Recharge you [self-censored]"). Big thank you to all who stayed until the end and especially Tyl for the multiple rezzes in the last fight (forgot how squishy I was ).

Rule number 1? Don't ever expect anybody to actually listen. Most poeple just follow the crowd and do what they do.
Is it just me or was taking down GW first a very bad call?
Scirocco was the real killer with his AoE, amd ghost widow took ages to get down due to dark regen.
While we spend 3-5 mins on GW, scirocco owns all squishies resulting in a lot of death.
It seems a lot more sensible to take down Scirocco first, then Mako and leave the lady as the last one.

GW heals the others and hits with a lvl 38 power breaking aoe hold (stops granite, elude, unstoppable etc dead in their tracks) that would screw up any assaults on other AVs and result in several teams being wiped. Mako runs IH/Elude combo so is impervious to any assault for 3 minutes so as a bare minimum he will take 4-5 mins with the best gank squads going at it hammer and tongs.
I have killed all the AVs on EU test, US test, Champion, Infinity, Union and Defiant, I have led raids on all servers but defiant and can safely say Ghost Widow is the worst of the lot and needs taking out ASAP. Shirocco is the 2nd weakest of the AVs and really only has his monster end drain to ruin your day but this is countered in a raid by the kins blasting transference. If everyone is in position Shirocco isnt a threat though a granite tank (with a couple of good emps on the flanks) taunting him would have been advantageous.
The order of the day in terms of clearing the AVs in the best way possible is GW/Recluse (as he can spawn up to 10 bane spider executioners at once it seems) /Mako/Shirocco/Scorpion

Hmm... I propose that a handful of holders concentrate on holding back the other AVs - not causing any serious damage *just* holds, slows, immobs, etc to make the assaults on GW a lot smoother. You can't ignore the dozens of people who get smited as soon as Scirroco turns up, and Mako is a pain in the jacksie for slowing down and immobilizing the squishies.
In the case of more than 2 AVs showing up, which happened several times last night and I assume the people not following Kin's instructions were either immobilized / held / incapacited or distracted by the other AV to actually concentrate on GW. TBH - I couldn't target her half the time because of the crowd around her, so I threw a couple of holds at Mako and his chums in between sniping.
As far as first time big raids go, I doubt it could have worked out any better. There would have still been the folks who rushed in and started ahead of everyone else, but smaller raids defo; I doubt many will feel the need to take on the AVs large scale again, but for SGs and VGs this is a good way to earn salvage and prestige. Smaller raids organised between a coalition would probs go a lot smoother and have less downtime than the fairly laggy and split up attack the other night.
I dont know what powers they use, and I may be a complete n00b when it comes to this, but..
1) Taking down AV's is controller/defender buisness in normal PvE. Always has been always will be. I think what ever is the greatest danger to these guys should be cleared first.
2) If you say Mako uses IH/elude, radiation infection (stacked) + Lingering (stacked), will cancel out both. I saw Mako killed in less than 1 min unlike GW who always lasted longer.
3) Lvl38 powers dont really mean a whole lot (IMO) since you can debuff the [censored] out of any AV.
4) I didnt see GW healing the other AV's, but if she does, then how much does she heal them? I only saw her use siphon life and dark regen.
Im not convinced this is the right way (the best way to take them out). Just because GW can take down the best powers of tanks/scrappers doesnt mean shes the right target.
The goal has to be fastest and with fewest deaths.

Aside from last night I dont recall more than 1/2 people dying per AV on the raids I have done, that said defiant was lagging like a bad one and im sure that and the chaos that was the raid contributed. Im not joking when I say that it was the biggest shambles I have ever seen as people were just doing what the hell they wanted, I just ran round rezing people as couldnt be bothered to bark at people anymore. All on GW a tank with support on the other AV is not hard to organise or figure out. When the other raids I ahve done have gone to combat mode (i.e all moved in) I cannot remember a single instance where Shirocco killed anyone and I ALWAYS did him last.
The controllers and defenders who clearly are the only reason we pull them down should not in any way be anywhere near roaming AVs, they should be at a relatively safe distance or have a tank pulling any stray AV agro off them. Neither of which are hard to do.
Lingering Rads and RIs will not cancel out Makos IH/Elude as with GWs AOE hold its really not the norm, we had a dozen rads at least on US servers and when he switches it on all u can do is wait. I sumise that you caught him on downtime.
GW uses twilight grasp at least and heals for wankloads, all you need is for her to be in the wrong place and bye bye all your hard work, its just not worth the risk and I personally wouldnt do it any other way. Lets say everyone jumped Shirroco and left GW and GW used her aoe hold on the people fighting Shirocco who in turn does his aoe and wipes.
Is there a better way? of course, there always is, people could follow instruction for a start that would have erradicated most of the deaths to begin with but Shirocco is one of the weakest AVs, it seems to me you didnt feel firsthand just how nasty GW is purely down to the fact that everyone jumped on her ASAP.

When it comes down to it - was it the best way? I think so.
Did I ask on here for other suggestions a couple of days before the raid? Yes.
Did anyone have a better idea? No.
During the raid did people follow instructions? Mainly Yes.
Did somepeople just run off doing what they thought would be better? Yes.
Did it [censored] the "good" people over! Hell Yes.
You may be right, you may be wrong. But don't try and do you're own thing on a raid. It's not like Hami when if you [censored] it up, you [censored] it up for everyone yourself included. It's worse. While the "good" people took down GW, the "bad" people ran off and took down Scirocco. Except they didn't really kill him he regen'd to fast. All they did was at a load of damage to their teams "count" meaning that when everyone else did it "properly" a few "good" teams missed the badge, while the "bad" teams got it.
I don't care how brilliant your method/order was. It wasn't what the raid was doing, and people were hard done by as you tried to do it anyway. THAT is the problem, not the fact you had a different idea.
(Edit - Not to put down Xanthus when I say Hami's "not as bad when people don't listen". It's just there they hurt everyone, in RV they hurt only the "good" people. Which IMO is worse._
Well got them all in the end, but would have gone alot faster if some people would just listen, but anyway nice work to all who were there.
