IC team-up for CoV [Aka "Plagiarizing Battleflag]

After participating in Battleflag's IC Team-up in City of Heroes on Thursday and having a blast, I decided to try and set up a similar thing for City of Villains, mostly to get more roleplay fun in for myself (hey, it's CoV. We're supposed to look out for number 1!) but also to give an opportunity to those who were interested in Battleflag's team-up but couldn't make it on Thursdays.

So, same set-up. Weekly two-hour meet-ups City of Villains, with one or two teams depending on how many of the players can make it. Monday from 19:30 to 21:30 BST is the tentative choice for a time, but that can be changed if it doesn't work for people. Likewise, the concept is tentatively a "heist-style" team of (super) criminals (think "Ocean's Eleven" or "Heat",) but can also be changed if someone has a better idea.

To ensure a spread of archetypes, we'll do as in Battleflag's thread and choose ATs from available slots, on a first-to-post, first served basis. We'll start with two slots for each archetype, and I'll edit this thread to keep the list of selected slots up-to-date. (Although check the end of the thread as well, as there may be a delay.)

Edited to add: We'll all start with brand-new characters. Do people want to run the tutorial as a team, or should we just take that as read?

Oh, and I also forgot to mention, this will be on Union.

Since the two first tiers have been almost filled up, I'm opening a third tier of archetypes to select from.

Well, I've not done much with Villains yet, and I am certainly not going to be doing much with CoH that is roleplay-y for a while... I'll sign up if I may?

And my preferance would be a Brute.

I hope a concept of someone who isn't truly evil will not be too much of a problem.

If there's room for my stalker, then I'll just have to find out which of my current Union Characters to delete and recreate on Defiant to free up a slot.

I'll just redo the one I started about 3 days ago... He's only level3 so it's not much of a bother to start him up again.

I'll let people sign up out the day. If none of the ones who've signed up by then has a problem with Tuesdays, we'll change.

I have a level 3 or 4 Stalker I never use, if I wait can I use him then?

I don't see why not. If you just show up a little late the first night, there should be no problem at all.

Any day is OK for me, except that I have to do a late night to 8pm every 2 weeks at work. So no matter which day is chosen, once every 10 weeks I'll be unavailable.

Um, to clear that up, the day is moved on every time... If you do late Monday, two weeks later you do Tuesday, a 15 day gap... Until the Friday, then it's only a 10 day gap until you do it again... Friday Lates are the worst ones... And I can look forward to one in two weeks... Joy.

Tuesdays and Thursdays are difficult for me, as I have tabletop sessions I need to attend. Monday, Wednesdays or Fridays (or indeed the weekend) are no problem, though.

I'd take a corruptor slot, if there's one left...

I'll be a little late next Monday but other Mondays are fine. Hope that's alright...

Before I sign up...
will this team be open to ... 'gritty' characters?
ones that find pleasure in doing or like to comment on 'gritty' things done (to them) in the past?

If the answer is "yes" then I'll just save myself and don't sign up

If the answer is "no" then I'll give it a go with my Grav/Nrg dominator (lvl5, checking for badges later to see if it's safe to reroll)


Oh, and are there any thoughts to a super group?
The Concord is a loose SG filled with PRer's character, who are not necesarily for RP, but just so to help this 'underdog' group get a functional base.

edit: I usually don't have many time constrictions. But the occasional meeting with my RP SG which usually start at 8, and GG RP (or more correct, my main's RP) from 9ish...

I'd love to join as a Mastermind, however, Mondays I can't do as I'm out between 6.30-10.00pm, and Tuesdays, I do believe I'm at the same tabletop game as Aisla. Wed-Sun are fine though.

I don't want to restrict character concepts beyond saying that the characters has to be able to function in a team, so I'm afraid the answer is "yes," character akin to Mr. Blonde from Reservoir Dogs would be allowed.

Well, as I said earlier, I'll bring up a change of time-slot tomorrow, with the people who sign up today with the current time in mind. If none of them minds Wednsday we might switch, so just wait until tomorrow.

I should really point out that Thursdays are bad due to the fact I'm in the same IC group as you too.

It's hard to find enjoyable (for me) RP in CoV, so I'll give it a go.

( too bad I can't bring my Stalker, any such characters that exhibit indiscriminate bloodlust would find themselves with a sword aimed at their necks before long )

I'll start an IC thread for people to introduce their characters once a couple more players have signed up. If you wait to read that you can probably make an informed decision about whether the teams will work for you or not.
