SR or Regen? (PvP Focus, with Spines as main)
[ QUOTE ]
It's all about burst damage with Blasters in pvp, Max, which is why /Energy is better than /Elec thanks to Total Focus. Thunder Strike as I understand it is teh sux.
[/ QUOTE ]The post I replied to was, however, talking about leveling, which translates to PvE
Errm actually no, lol. Maybe it's my fault as i didnt give any reference, but gen's blapper was thought for pvp if i'm not wrong (it's ice/elec)

i'vr said this before, but here goes again:
Spines are for Nimmers, Broadsword is for winners.

In the high level spines/sr and spines/regen are kind of even.
SR has elude, stackable mes protection slow resistance and +perception, SR is arguably better vs controllers than regen is. If you make a spines/sr and fit in medicine pool its very uber in PvP, very very uber. Arguably the main thing spines/regen has over spines/sr is quick recovery, and dull pain. If you wan't to focus on level 50 arena PvP try spines/super reflex, If you want to dip into all zones aswell as high level PvP go spines/regen.
In PvE spines/regen is definately better than Spines/super reflex. Spines/super reflex is a late bloomer.
For blasters, */elec is better than */energy in PvE-It has more AoE
*/nrg is better than */elec in PvP because of the self buffs and it hits harder.
And if u want to use a katana/broadsword in lv50 arena PvP I'd also go for SR. Stack'd parry along with SR deffense makes pretty untouchable (aid other can fill some gaps). The main issue would be endurance, but with conserve power 3 slotted it's partly relieved.

One of the main reasons to go regen is quick recovery which is better than stamina. This allows you to run more toggles such as tough, leadership, focused accuracy which is near impossible on a SR toon.
Also worth considering is that PVP builds usually go for high accuracy which means that generally defence based stuff tends to be weaker, although taking aid self makes a big difference. SR has some nice powers including click mez protection (good against toggle droppers, less of an issue with i7 but also runs if you have no end) quickness (mini hasten with some resistance to slow), inbuilt +perception form focused senses, and of course one of the best powers in the game in elude.
Spines/Regen or Spines/SR will both own in pvp so its down to personally preference which one you pick.

Only got a lvl 12 spines regen, (see sig) but i agree with Phil ALL the way, Quick Recovery Allows me to run combat jumping AND sprint while im fighting, and my endurance hardly hits below half, QR FTW
Phil FTW!

Spines/SR is great at high lvls, SR as a secondary is awesome at high lvls in all respects. However I personally prefer regen due to the fact that you have more long term fighting ability with the end recovery and no real need to put mog into a pvp build and hence no crash.
(elude pwns MoG so badly its not even funny though)

Go spines/regen, no one has every tried that combo for PvP
/SR weak against blasters, /regen weak against trollers. With detoggle nerfs i expect more trollers than blasters tbh, so i'd go SR, but that's just me

with the end drain and toggle drop changes in i7 elec will probaly be a better pvp power..there is more stun res (non power pool) then KB res..and with the end drain from i7, .. power sink (auto hit end drain) is gonna be pretty powerfull:P..
but this was a scrapper topic:P
anyway go SR then..we already got waaaaaay to many of the Spines/rgn's:P
