Why BS/SR shines. My build till lvl 34.
No Build up? The joys of a built up Crit with headsplitter are wonderful!
Defiant 50's
Many and varied!
@Miss Chief
not to mention build up disembowl critical = 1 shot stalker in sirens
@ExtraGonk
I'd like build up, but I fell in love with Whirlwind and am afraid I would make my build gimped for examplaring if I drop Slice even if I don't use it nowadays.
I think I need all the other powers to make this build work.
Well Lucky and dodge are probably less useful than build up at this level since build up is hella fun.
Yeh! BU is the rockn' gonna hit u so hard u'll even seem handsome. It's awesome!! 8i know, i look like the mental german kid now, but i dont care )
PS Never hear to gonk's advice. See his tanking guide, or team with his mad AV-tanking blaster and u'll know why
i think you must be mistaking me for someone else, i dont have any blasters past 36 and play exclusively on defiant (highest on union is level 20 concept build scrapper).
av tanking blaster sounds good though

Ok made my mind up and gona put in build up in favor of lucky. I'll surely get evasion at 35 so that makes up for not having lucky, cause it's a stronger buf then then others percentage-wise.
Not having build up was one thing, but my main point was about how to max defense and I think this does it pretty well. What do you guys have to say about the "defense numbers" and am I correct that with this build defense will be pretty maxed against +2 or even +3? Are there any flaws in my reasoning? Should I maybee get another pool defense power like Combat Jumping?
Evasion is being scaled down to the defence of the other two in I7. Have a nice day

I've rolled a Broadsword Superreflexes scrapper and am beginning to like him more and more cause he outperforms other scrappers and doesn't faceplant a lot.

you cant have met a whole lotta scrapper then, just because bs/sr is a good build for your playstyle wich make it work doesnt mean you outshine anyone else.
Besides, regen is always the way to go
@EU Brimmy - Union and Exalted servers
in certain circumstances i'd say BS does outshine other scrapper primaries other than katana, in one hit nothing can do as much damage, very important for the game where you only get one chance at a hit - pvp for instance. however it is desperately slow.
super reflexes is a very fun set to play, its different again to regen, not lots of clickies to press and it also has the advantage of being good to go from level 4 onwards going thru regen again it still feels painful up to SO's.
@ExtraGonk
ye i admit that sr has its advantages agaisnt regen, but vice cersa as well, the fact that the mezz protection in SR is a clicky buggs the hell outa me and to be honest i've seen regen's survive more/longer than sr's just because they can self-heal. imo a self-heal goes further than "dodging"... though i have rolled a new katana/sr, wanna get it up a couple of lvls and see what i7 does to it.
@EU Brimmy - Union and Exalted servers
The clicky status protection and defence are the reasons I dont get mezzed by Carnie RI's. I think on the whole Regen is stronger than SR (I did stop my regen because I found SR more exciting though)

I try to say Broadsword AND Superreflexes shine I din't make a statement if one primary is better than the other. It's the combination parry+defense that makes it strong. Plus the Hasten and Quickness stack making it very much faster. (also I love teaming with a Kinetic for even bigger orange numbers and faster attacks triple stack parry defense buffs double stacked practiced brawler you know what I mean?)
I've found PVP very hard cause of tohit buffs and accuracy modifiers my opponents have negating my defenses. Also a stalker never seems to miss an AS.

Good to go from lvl 1 BUT beginning to shine with SO's. SO's are very important to maxout Defense.

[/ QUOTE ] Maxing defense you will get only hit 5% of the time, AND defense works against all types of damage. Not getting hit is better than needing a heal.
I've made a bind for my "clicky": /bind q "powexec_name practiced brawler" then you don't have to move your hand, takes some getting used to but it does wonders.
You won't appreciate BS/SR if you only do a couple of lvls. It needs the SO's. And with Disembowel and Head Splitter you can keep everyone to the floor.

Thanks alot.
I teamed with an empath today. It was a blast Fortitude stacked with my defenses and +2 bosses couldn't hit me
Swing swing swing, miss miss miss.
I've rolled a Broadsword Superreflexes scrapper and am beginning to like him more and more cause he outperforms other scrappers and doesn't faceplant a lot.
In the lower lvls it will be a hard time but with SO's fully slotted he gets hit less and less. And with disembowl and head splitter you can keep most bosses lying on their backs.
I've put in Whirlwind as a panic button some croud control and against strong bosses, in which case you should take out minions and lts then turn on WW, floor the boss and take him down slowly with your toggles dropped.
I don't use slice anymore because I work best against single targets.
My attack chain with hasten on is: Parry-Disembowl-Parry-Head Splitter, repeat. With hasten off, I have to throw in some hacks.
I manage to keep up praticed browler all the time.
The reason BS/SR shines is because of parry and the law of accelerated returns.
Some people say you don't need the passives, I say you do, with passive and toggle on slotted with SO def enhs you should get a defense of Roughly 27,5%. An even lvl minion would hit you about half as much compared with no defense(50-27,5=22.5%)
Then comes parry, giving you another 30% of defense. Yeah, This would cap your defense for this foe and he will hit you ten times less compared to no defensee(50%-27,5-30 will give the minion a minimum of 5% tohit), pretty good huh? So even if 30% and 27.5% seem to give you comparable extra defense, the law of accelerated returns let's you see that the extra defense yields much more effect.
And this is also why BS/SR is very very strong. Parry might seem weak but the combined defenses make you near untouchable. This is also the reason slotting parry with 3 acc. because you really really want to hit.
I'm now thinking about a respec. This is because I'd like to put in Build Up somwhere. Only place I can think off is dumping Slice. BUT this would make me much less usefull when examped.
Please if someone has some notes, tell me.
This is a pure PvE build though, as you will be hit because of acc en tohit buffs of your opponents, negating your defenses. Also, you're not a tank. Because you need parry to hit, an alpha strike of a mob of foes can be deadly cause your defense is not up yet.
