I've met a few RPers, but none of the SGs they belonged to were RP SGs - they seemd to do all their RPing in teams with "strangers", though I'm sure RP SGs must exist...

Unfortunately, Defiant is perhaps not the perfect server to join for roleplay. It is always said, that Union is the unofficial roleplay server. That isn't to say there is no roleplaying on Defiant, but from what I understood, it's a lot harder to find.
Union has several rp SG's, two of my main characters belong to two of those groups. Then there is the GG meet, and some other spots where roleplayers often gather. :-)

also, when looking for people to team with, you'll sometimes see a message saying they're RPers, so you could send themn a tell asking if they belong to or know of an RP SG.

The sg I'm currently with (I'm a happy wanderer) roleplays. (occasionaly)
I only found this out about a week ago as I assumed it was moslty all on Union, but meh. They got empaths who think I die too much

Brilliant, thx for the help everyone..I reckon I'll be off to the Union then, as it sounds the better chance of rp'ing there, although, I will be keeping a couple of my higher levels, and seeking out the rp sg's on defient

You can get some pretty good RPing just by randomly teaming up with other like-minded players - try and build up a list of those who RP, so even if your SG isn't that active, you cna still RP with your non-SG friends.

Well, if you're into free-style roleplaying, give the daiy GG meet a try on Union. There are all sorts of people there, from various SG's, most of which are rp based.
It's held every day, at the statue of Galaxy Girl (behind Freedom Corps), in Galaxy City on Union. :-)
Also, we have a Global channel, with over 40 members, on which we all can chat ooc without having to ruin the roleplay experience of people at the statue. It's called GGOOC.

No, I'm afraid not. You'll need to re-make your character from scratch on Union.

The most easily found RPers are at the Galaxy Girl statue, everynight around 9 (uk time)
The GG statue is behind the Freedom Corp building in Galaxy City. From the base portal, you have a nice view of the statue, and those huddled under her.
These are by no means the only RPers, but as I said, the most easily found.
