Entropy Shield vs Practiced Brawler, your take?
Repel protection is fairly rare and when you have it, you'll be safe from some of the more nasty tricks in the game. Is Entropy Shield a clicky like the SR version?

A clicky mez protection is a great asset, since it can't be detoggled. However, if you get feared, you may find clicky mez protection can run out, leaving you very vulnerable.
Hmmm, I'd say entropy shield is the better one, for the repel resistance

Although overall, EA sucks summat awful TBH. I've taken down EA Brutes as easy as I have Blasters, so I can only imagine Stalkers will be worse.

Entropy sheild rocks big time, fantastic resistance to controller effects. As for taking out my stalker, I dont think many find it very easy
**Acceptable "support" responses**
Its your fault
Its your computers fault
Its your ISPs fault
I'd take preactised brawler if just comparing the mez protections, it's clicky, and can easily be stacked, making it very powerful for PvP. Also I'd say SR as a whole is better than EA post-38, before that.... not sure which I'd go for. But overall would rather take SR.
Yeah, Im sticking with PB, for the reason that if you get immobed, you can pop PB on and it will clear the immob effect. Dunno if that should be possible or not, but I've done it a few times now
Im in my 20s now, soon I shall start to wreak havoc upon the poor souls of CoH :P

[/ QUOTE ]Yup, it should, as PB protects against immob, and you can activate powers immob'd.
Of course, If I was playing SR I'd propably have PB on auto and keep it on perma, don't like getting held
How can I set it on "auto-cast"?
I always forget to pop it on, however now that I just super speed steal x or kill x broker missions I don't really need it for the PvE part
And for thoose who don't mind a mind-numbing speed leveling, but don't know how too. This is the guide

Ctrl-click on it, it will get a green ring around it, and activate everytime it recharges.
Oh, and the link seems to be borked.
Ah ok tahnks
The link is workign fine for me.. You can always go there yourself though.
cityofvillains.gameamp.com - CoV Guides - Power Leveling with Super Speed, Author: Nogame
To sum the guide up, per mission, it takes roughly 2 - 5 min. Atm I do them at Vicious rep, might beef up to Ruthless now. You get full bonus, at lvl 19 vicious it was 1.2k/6min (0.8 bubble) on average.
Find a stalker buddy with some kind of travel power, and you two will be flying through levels very fast
I have two +3 SOs, (thank you, Sirens Call), and an =DO on PB and it recharges before it runs out, so I keep it on auto.
The only issue is that it kills momentum when it switches on, so if you're leaping from rooftop to rooftop, or chasing down a fleeing hero it can be a bit annoying when it kicks in and you're frozen for the animation.

[/ QUOTE ]BUT if you're chasing someone, you propably have an attack queued, whichh will prevent it from activating
Playing Nin so pretty much the same, only reason I wouldnt have it on auto is I dont want to go in for an attack only to have it kick in an root me like a tit in the middle of a group of 6 heroes .
SR has quickness and speeding up AS,Placate and powers attacks can really boost damage output IMO, (hide getting detoggled can be a killer on slower recharge).
Think Elude before AS is a very efficient, if little cheap, way to make sure it works and personally I would take it over overload purely due to the drain at the end.
Nice other effects on EA from the looks of it.
Right, so I've been thinking. The two skills are very much alike part from shield also protecting from TP foe/repel.
I have not been able to find exactly how much resistance you gain with the skills, anyone that has these?
But my real question is, which would you prefer for PvP?
Shield has a big benefit of the tp foe resist.
But IMO the diffrence between the two sets is that:
EA = Being able to stand there and take a hit.
SR = Not being hit at all, but if struck not as resistant as EA.
Your take on this?
Entropy Shield diminishes and dampens the energy of controlling type effects. The shield makes you resistant to Knockback, Disorient, Hold, Sleep, and Immobilization effect, for as long as you can keep this toggle power active.
Protects you from TP Foe and Repel in PvP
