dont have 1 tick towards a healing badge on my dark scrapper.
afaik you can only get healing badges from healing others, not healing yourself. Anyway, with over 600 hours on him, and not even having a progress bar for it. I think its pretty safe to say you cant get it via dark regeneration.
as for regens having it for DP/Recon, i doubt it, as again, those are self-heals.

You don't get bar for healing, the badge just appears when you hit the set amount.
I know a brute that got it through Aid Self, so am happy to believe it's possible with some self heals. I guess not with Dark Regen

DP and Dark regen doesn't work for healing badges.
Edit : Aid self doesn't work either. I'm guessing the Brute you picked took Aid other as the first power and used it from time to time ?
Only the heals that you, your pets, your gladiators or your henchmen use toward other people (be it your pets, your gladiators, your henchmen or anyone else) work.
Reconstruction might be the exception to the rule, as it's a bit bugged, but I'm not sure of it.

It should be possible with anything....
You could test it, open combat window, use dark regen. If it says "You healed <name> for <amount> points", it should count.
Don't think it does though, I'll check next time.

Recon/dp doesnt give healing badges. Neither does any other self heal power.
Only actually healing others work.

Several of my characters got started on the healing badge by using presents at Xmas. The Gift of Life was a PBAoE heal.

I know dull pain used to generate the healing badge but I dont know if they changed it. My lvl 28 inv/ tanker who was started in I3 has already got partway through this (not got the badge) by using Dull Pain and he has never had any other healing power. I dont know if you will actually awarded the badge or not but the progress thing does show up.
I played Regen for a year, I find it hard to belive that I would not have even started the healing badge.

Regens do NOT get healing badges from DP and Recon. These are self heals - the healing badges are obtained from HPs healed by you on other players. Which is why most Empaths at a high-ish level have most of them.
