Brute battles
Try finding a Dark Armor brute... I think you'll find you can down those pretty easily. I know I get that done to me rather often.
My En/En blapper takes them apart pretty nicely if they don't have help. Can't say I've fought against them with any of my other characters.

CRUELY TAKEN FROM THIS WORLD WHILE SO YOUNG
The best way I've found to deal with Brutes is to hit them hard and fast, so they don't build up too much Fury in the process; if the fight goes on past 40 seconds or so, I'll drop off and reconsider my options. Similarly, Brutes on lower HP might look like easy targets, but if they have a self-heal or spare greens then you might be chewing floor pretty quickly. The majority of fights I've had with Brutes have been with my Blapper, which normally results in a swift victory as long as I chomp on a few BFs first. I had similar problems as you encountered with my Claws/SR Scrapper, except it ended in a stalemate with me hardly scratching them, and them rarely touching me. I have, however, seen Brutes get mezzed by flying/hovering Controllers, which may be possible with Ice Blasters too.
If you're going to use range with any character, make sure it's real range - a few hundred yards can be raced down pretty quickly even with just Sprint, if you plant yourself - so keep moving. (I've dropped many an unaware Corrupter hovering in position above a battle by sneaking up behind them when they thought they were safe in the air.)

Dark Regen is a useful tool for a /DA brute or Scrapper - I know that a DA successfully spamming Dark Regen can lead many players a merry dance... until they run out of Endurance.

Brutes have scraper defences , with a blaster the way to deal with then is to drop the brute togles using a couple meale attacks, and hold them if your lucky to drop a brute status protection togle, also ice has some nice slows so you can keep them at range !
With your MA/SR scraper its allways gonna be hard to beat a brute 1 vs 1, with a decent amount of fury and build up, a brute can drop a SR in a few seconds, and most brutes have good S/L resist :/
PB/WS can be a pain if they decide to go nova form

fair point. my blaster is ice/ice so unfortuantly my range attacks are shorter than your normal blaster. i was toying of the idea of kiting them but that would be on a one on one basis. But its hard as they move like things possed when they see little squishy blasters, hehe
But you right about fury i forgot about that side of the brute. As i never really been into tanks and brutes so not sure of thier inner workings. its been the only AT i have not had much interst in, guess its good to know your oponent in these battles.

Controllers are there to take out any melee types. 1 vs 1 I can take a Controller using break free or Unstoppable. Multiple controllers in a team and I might as well just stay dead on the floor.
Defenders, if played well could be a stalemate. Though i only need to get a couple of disorients to land then they are mine.
Blasters, with ED an no 6 slotted damage all they are doing is making me fury while i charge them down. They can't run forever if they intended to attack
Tanks/Scrappers tend to be longer drawn out fights that can go either way. If they can get lots of damage in fast the scrapper will win, if they leave it too long and i get a decent amount of fury going then i can take the scrapper. Tanks need a couple of people damaging them to take down (we took out a stone tank in Granite the other day i didn't think that could happen )
I've had a Stalker Assasin Strike me and cause very little problem. Pop a repsite or Dull Pain and off i go.

My pb dont have nova form. I wanted to be slightly diffrent as evey one seemed to be going tri form Kheliden, i fancied a slight variation
She more dependent on human for the damage side of things and drops to dwarf in emergencies to sorta tank if things going bad in the team. then drops back to human when things calmed down Guess shes maybe to much PvE then PvP.

If your blaster is ice/ice, get in there and Ice Sword them! It's 100% chance to drop at least one toggle, and with no toggles you can just repeatedly freeze ray/freezing touch them until they're dead.

I think anyone who has taken on Lady Fuya would disagree
Detoggler blasters are a brutes nemesis, regens only win out on my NRG/INV brute as my stamina will run out 1st. As for controllers/defenders, it takes a lot of holds stacking to pin him down.
Detoggle blasters are IMO the worst a brute can face especially if they jump from behind, detoggle then u get jummped by whoever else is out there.

never knew that, thankyou
Will need to respec her if i am to impliment this tactic as shes designed not to go any where near meele. Shes a pure blaster not one of these blapper things. The concept never appealed to me, blasters to me are range hard hitting damage dealers, again i guess im still thinking in PvE terms.

My Ice/Dev blaster deals with these well. Only problem is stopping em running away. Use invis , Breek free, web granade to keep em grounded followed by catathings( cant spell Things the Tsoo throw on the ground stops you running away) Open up with your attacks from range. With hasten and recharge in my three attacks i can get about 6/7 shots in before aim run's out. Even without Aim the damage output is great. A brute asked me to try out my Trip mines on him. I layed 4 and they dropped everyone of his toggles in 1 go. And took about 60% of his health.

You don't need to be a blapper, but it helps to have a couple of toggle drops. Just run in, smack em a couple of times (Frozen Fists and Ice Sword both drop toggles) and then run out and blast away.

Brutes are pretty easy for teams with controllers in...a controller most likely is the nemesis of Brutes and the only Brute that is a pain is Stone for which u have to use special tactics on him as controller to gain leverage. I go with EK post as its the most complete. Brutes are tough fighting machines and get pretty nasty in battle if you are not well prepared.
Really? I don't use hugely special tactics against stone brutes. Just stacking holds. Like I do on everyone :P

on 1vs1 when they granite well there are issues. Plus on team fights allocating time for a granite brute while u getting hammered around is not that effective and u know it thats why u got Powernova and dont play innocent to me

I guess I don't have any special tactics because vs. a granite I just sit in hover and stack holds until he gets held. Because of the amount of -fly I chuck around, they tend not to be able to fly up and smack me either.
Yeah, we're all addicted to SB+ID now. When I team with Powernova in PvP we're dangerously good.

Powernova is stalker fodder in Sirens and hover while tormenting brutes is dangerous when I am about, I derive a certain amount of pleasure from impaling flyers (-fly) and watching them fall into the arms of agitated brutes

Hehe, yes i was impaled a few times as i flew about as my PB yesterday by yourself, I just plummit from the skies and i cant do anything, im held in limbo for a few seconds.
Vulnrable to any passing predetor. Usually a passing brute or another stalker waiting to pounce
Very effective.

As of late i seem to be encountering a larger quantity of these ATs in Sirens call.
was wondering what is a good way to deal with them ?
my PB did okay in dwarf form took the beating, but has no real damage potential in Dwarf form, as soon as i turn into human im stunend and beaten to a pulp. (cant stay dwarf forever, run out of end and attacks are so slow)
My scrapper cant hurt them i pound at them and they just stand back and take the beating, till they decide to clobber me. Im not normally one to run from a fight so i normmaly take my beating
My blaster i think needs to try range more but the Brutes move fast and close in on her. They dont seem to take that much damage from my blasts. And im so easy stunned. aka Super squishy
my controller yet to try against this foe so guess i'll be giving it a go in the future to see how she fairs, but still excpect i will get my head pulverised into goop !!
Any tactis you guys can suggest. As of yet my build are still PvE and i only dabble in PvP a little bit as its good fun.
